Ross Barkley

I agree with the Goat. I'd play him in the Fellaini spot, give him a go. I reckon Moyes will probably play Naismith there which I'm not too disappointed about as that's his true position and we need to work out if he'll make a player there. But I'd prefer Ross there right now.

Seriously lad. I can't believe what I'm reading. Give it a major rest. BLOWN up in order to suit your agenda. It was a nothing post. Brennan went back and tried to look for the worst of STEND. To make excuses for sarcastic comments from others. That was his sole aim. I didn't post in this thread other than to see if people think Barkley will start in quickly became provocation

I didn't have to look very hard.

We just don't know that yet. I think he could be even better to be honest. But none of us have seen enough of him consistently to be sure.

I think thats the key at the moment, we all saw the QPR game, he was head and shoulders above anything on the pitch, im gonna be honest, he hasnt really had a chance since then, but the brief times ive seen him, either in his 10second cameos for Everton or his games for Sheff Wed, he appears to be "lacking" a certain something.

But I totally agree, we havent seen enough either way to judge.

Moyes has sees him on a daily basis - but he obviously doesn't think he's ready yet. If your good enough, your good enough, the lad obviously has a few character flaws that need tweaking.

Actually, his character is meant to be fine. Phil Neville said he's a really humble lad who is always looking to improve.

There's been no press stories about him, no "Jose Baxter" incidents etc.

All we've heard about him is praise about his talent. And when he plays - full game against QPR, cameo against Wigan - he generally impresses. Even though he's only brought on when the game is dead - Chelsea and Wigan.

He gave away a penalty once; that's the only genuine mistake I've seen him make. And although I trust Moyes' judgement in the transfer market, I don't trust his tactical or selection ability at all - see his continued selection of Phil Neville for details. If Barkley is a flowing attack minded player, then Moyes will mistrust him regardless of his ability IMO, as he's a naturally negative manager.

Not yet but he's far quicker and stronger than him, so he's got all the stuff you cant control, the rest, i.e passing, can be worked on over time.
He has a good range of passing and seems to have an eye for the unexpected pass from the little I have seen.

Get him on Moylez FFS!

Deep down we all know Naismith will start vs Stoke.
