Couple of times today he had the ball out wide and I feel his natural inclination was to take the man on but Moyes's comments about giving the ball away must have been weighing him down.

It's not just him, it's the whole team. I'm far from being anti Moyes but they all seem terrified of taking any risks whatsoever. I've never in my life seen a team in posession pass it all the way back to the goalkeeper (often from posession deep in the opponent's half) as often as we do. It drives me to despair, especially with a goalkeeper as poor at distributing the ball as ours

He looks effortlessly composed at times. But also has the propensity to **** himself so hard his boots fly off.

The latter is becoming more scarce though. He's going to be a player.

its no longer a matter of whether he 'will make it' or not, he offers more than jelavic, and we played some lovely footy today with him on the field.
yeh he made a few little errors, but the counterweight of his positive play make that alright to me.

He needs to get on top of his short passing game before he starts knocking the Hollywood passes around we all know he's got in his locker and that he wants to try. It's all there though.

he simply needs to get used to just playing in the first 11, coming as a sub I am sure he feels the pressure and the expectation to change the game. Say if Liverpool fck it up today let him start in place ossie for the rest of the season.. will do wonders for the lad going into next year
