He's young an still learnig. We can't expect him to show his full potenial yet. I do think that letting him play regulary Championship football would do him good. I do think he'll be a great player in the future and I really hope he'll stay loyal to the club.

Well we haven't had any games so they've probably had to do loads of extra training to keep them exerted and fit.

Pretty sure they've been given a right going over, like. A lot of the players have been mentioning the double sessions and fatigue on twitter. They do work them especially hard at Everton, pre-season, so I hear.

Barkley is a massive talent who could be as good as Zidane, I know this from watching him in youth football teams alongside my little brother and then watching how he burst on the scene with 1st team, he's an immense talent and a dodgy pre-season game for the reserves doesn't change that for me.

he was one of the standout players at the start of pre-season and then all of a sudden moyes chucks him in the reserve team tourney. same as he did last season after a string of good performances, 1 mistake and bang, doesnt get anotehr chance. the kid is still young and shouldn't have his confidence constantly knocked like that. yes he should be slowly nurtured into the 1st team, but atm it's stop start. if moyes would have kept playing him in the 1st team instead of straight back in the reserves his confidence would have been grown, and he may not have produced poor under par performances. not saying it definately wouldn't have happened, but still

i just feel people may have too much expectation for him next season, imo there is no chance he will break into the first squad next season, he needs time

i sure do hope this is the case, but he didnt play the last game for the 1st team, instead he was shafted to the reserve squad. hoping it's just to give him more games and would like to see him plaaying with the 1st team in their next friendly, but i have my doubts

The last year has been purely about getting the lad games wherever possible. I would say IMO he's probably at a stage now tho that improvement is only going to come playing in the first team against top opposition where I'm confident he will step up!
He's a bit stifled with the reserves now I recon...
