We can't simply wait for him to "come good", otherwise he'll be entering his 7th season with us like Anichebe still unsure as to whether he's any f*cking good or not.
I don't think he will though, just doesn't seem to want it.
Rodwell, Vaughan, Anichebe got plenty of minutes (when fit) when they were under 20. I dont think Davey has an aversion to youth to be honest, Gueye, Duffy and Vellios were given a chance to stake their claim last year as well. If there is a risk to be taken he prefers to be cautious though, but then its his backside in the cheese slicer isnt it.

If he's so good towards the youth, then why did just Neville play a full game and half of it at LB, when we supposedly have the up-and-coming Bidwell and Garbutt in the same position?

Bidwell and Garbutt were on loan at the time I think, but the point still stands with respect to Hibbo playing centre-back, rather than one of the younger players.

Duffy, after animpressive run got dropped for a crap right back, Barkley and Rodwell need to get away from Moyes if they want to fulfill their potential, Garbutt can forget it aswell, if Baines gets a knock Moyes isnt gonna pass an opportunity to put Distin their and cream his kecks over havin 3 CB's on his team

Yeah Hibbo had a real howler while playing centre half after Duffy got dropped......
moyes got lucky with that decision, hibbert did ok, but Jonny's leadership at the back was the key in that game, but thats beside the point, Moyes would rather player an average experienced player out of position than play a promising youngster on a good run of form in his proper position
In a twenty four hour period most of our players have played a game.If Garbutt and Bidwell played today then Baines and a central defender would have played last night.In the next three games as they get closer to the kick off and the emphasis shifts from fitness to football we will see if youngsters such as Duffy,Garbutt,Bidwell and Vellios are considered as real first team players.
Thought he got it spot on mate to be honest, credit where it's due as I was fuming when I heard that team but Hibbert didn't allow them any space with their quick on touch footie and it worked.
