This seems to me like Martinez is just providing the worst case scenario more than anything and we'll see Barkley back sooner rather than later

Robbie said he'll be out for a "while". McGeady said that he hasn't played for over a month and it'll take some time for him to get match fit. If Pienaar was injured today we might have to cobble a side together for the next game.

Ever had a muscle injury before playing footy, sometimes you can run it off and be fine for a bit but once the adrenaline dies down you are in bad pain
