....boots, pink plastic boots the lads wear these days really don't help. A young entrepreneur should be looking at this market as it costs millions in wages when highly paid players are out for months on end.

I have the feeling Martinez is pulling a bit of a fast one with this Barkley injury story. Like Big Doug just said the club would know very quickly the extent of the injury if a fracture was suspected. He´ll be out a couple of weeks me thinks, not months.
I agree, I dont think all meets the eye on this. It's a week since he suffered the injury (an injury obvious to no one at the time), he was in the running for a starting place against Norwich up until Friday when he became 'a doubt', but the club aren't sure whether its fractured or not.
With such a prize asset, if he'd been injured after QPR they'd have wasted no time at all getting x-rays done on that foot.
Something doesn't add up.
Cock and bull story this.
I expect there is a waiting list at the doctors and he can't be seen until a week Monday at 2.30pm...........
6 weeks out according to the Graun:

EDIT: or rather, they spin it like that. Bobby just mentioned the 6 weeks to refer to Baines's injury.

interesting RM says: "Sometimes if the problem is well settled, they can play straight away. Otherwise they need a couple of weeks or even longer. Leighton's was a bad one, it took six weeks."
Baines was only out for just over 4 weeks, so surely Barkley considering has been injured for a week already its gonna be less than 6 weeks and more 3-4 weeks tops?
