Ross Barkley

I honestly have no worries about Ross leaving. He ain't going anywhere...Bobby doesn't want to sell, Ross doesn't want to leave and for once I don't believe the board are in a situation where they have to accept offers (even ridiculous ones!) at this point.

He's gonna be our main man and best chance of getting in those CL places. It's bloody Rooney that's left us all so paranoid but we're a different club than back then and Ross is a different lad.

Now, that's not to say we'v got him for ever!! If he reaches his potential and unfortunately we don't end up challanging for titles and regular CL competitors he's gonna wanna most likely move on at some point for the big money and the medals.

If that's the case and he gives us 4/5 yrs then I can only wish him well. My only hope is it is a Real or Barca or Bayern who end up taking him!

Ross is for sale.

Just that no one has met the stupid money price it would take to pry him away.

I figure it's 60M+

He ain't leaving.

Well he's not is he. Its not like the Club have went 'We are willing to sell Ross Barkley, chuck us your best prices', because they havent done that at all. Ross isn't for the sale, the Club and Manager dont want to sell him. Things change when a ridiculous amount of money comes in for him, but that still doesnt mean he's for sale, means the money is too good to turn down.

We will have Ross for another season and maybe 2 at a stretch if he keeps progressing. Players are not as loyal as they used to be and the only way to keep class players is to win things and play CL. Everton don't do this and will always struggle to finish 5th, 6th or 7th with our finances. Unless we can win a few cups or become a top 4 regular team we have absolutely no chance of keeping good young potential players. That is the unfortunate fact of EFC nowadays and it will not change unless we sell/get investment. Until then any promising players will always be linked to other clubs then we start again. Vicious circle that will never end till we get investment and get back to where we once belonged.

He's young and English, Luke Shaw has just gone for £30M, and he's not a Goalscorer. I'd say double that and you'd be close to what we'd sell him for.

Right now no one is going to pay our asking price for Ross, you can't pay all that money on one seasons performance.

Anyway, what's to say the lad wants to leave? He's an Evertonian after all...

See Liverpool,Spurs,Arsenal and all the teams that finish below us

Its has nothing to do with finance, Arsenal are loaded but they lose there top players nearly every season

Liverpool have just lost Suarez and there are in the CL

Spurs sold Bale and Modric in the last couple of seasons

If we have a player like Rooney/Barkley then the top clubs will come knocking, Even if we had top 4 every season there heads would be turned

He doesn't - contract expires end of 2015/16 season.

"Investors" can only put 45 million in equity into the club in three years. Or its fines and bans from Europe under FFP.

They can bankroll stadium redevelopment to unlimited extent.

The days of "investors" throwing money in to buy players are done. Or they get 50million fines transfer embargos and bans from Europe.

We've just got to keep going in the Roberto Martinez direction. Young players couple of buys. Get sufficient quality into the squad.

Be like Germany.

Win stuff. Then its all mute.

I´d say there´ll be a bit more noise than that if we win stuff

To be fair every player in world football is for sale if ridiculous bids come in. Whether a club announce a player is for sale or not makes very little difference if the big bucks are waved at the right people.
