Ross Barkley

Im not attacking Arteta.

Im highlighting that his numbers and what he did in big games is actually lower and less than what Ross has done, in half the games.

The stick Ross is getting is injustified, and this comparison to me shows that fans treat local lads and fancy sounding forigners different.
Ross signs a new deal and the support he will get will be well beyond anyone else at the club. Period.

He put that pic up at the same time...

Means f all

Ross has the brain of a 6 year old in all honesty

Remember when he was not getting a sniff for england so deleted all his pictures in an england kit.

Now he has put a picture of him playing, "look at me doing what i do best" then himself in a training top "look, im not happy when i dont play"

Stinks of a girl who has just been jibbed cos her fella has found someone who's filthier in the sack after she has been a prude for 2 years. Then posts up loads o pics on facebook of her "enjoying" herself and out with all her "girlies". LOOK IM OVER YOU

And Koeman's singling out and hypocrisy in front of the press isnt?

He doesn't run that account. He will have a brand manager, which is standard given his brand sponsorship deals.

Whoever has done that has done it for him, for a reason. Posting the photo isn't news to me - disabling the comments, if only disabled now, is the much bigger deal.

Sorry mate, i obviously misread the thread then! I think the primary reason we treat local lads different is that we want to see passion as well as quality! If we have one of those qualities lacking it seems to draw contempt and abuse. Two perfect examples are Barkley and Hibbert. Hibbo had all the passion in the world, but lacked the quality, Barkley has the quality undoubtedly, but his passion is lacking (imo). I think that is why foreign players who 'get us' are often elevated to a much higher staus that their skills should warrant?

When Rooney left it hurt like hell because we all knew he'd go on to be one for the best and like him or not for a period of time with United he was. He could and should have been that with us!
Barkley doesn't hurt and it's not because i don't like him - i want him to stay i really do and he has all the potential to be a great player, i just don't think i'll be watching him in 3-4 years time thinking what might have been and if only he'd have stayed. He could go on to become another Lampard or Gerrard or he could be a Jack Rodwell. I hope for his career he makes the right call.

He has had the comments disabled for a fair while, I know they were disabled before his night club run in, thou can remember when he did it

I can defo see this being a part of it mate.

Ross has only recently showed some of that obvious grit & determination in his workrate and tackling back.

I loved Arteta, but I was very often so frustrated that he would not turn up at Anfield or Old trafford....and was even injured in winter!!!!

Comments have been disabled since he got hit.

He wasn't singling Ross out.

He has been asked questions about Ross, and given honest answers.

If Ross won't sign the deal, we need to know sooner rather than later. That's the end of it - and that's what Koeman has said.
Agreed. I'm not sure what Koeman has done wrong. He needs to know NOW. Now I don't think it affect a Sigurdsson deal, but he's probably bot going to get a Klaassen if he has Ross. But the deals are being put into play now and the Europa qualifiers are right around the corner.

Exactly. Some people using this thread to slag RK off at every opportunity.

Think they would prefer a manager who wasn't honest and just gave magnificent sound bites.
