He will by all accounts be facing a similar battle here yet in a champions league team at spurs & perhaps he wants to play for pochetinho over Koeman.

Koeman has been largely good for Barkley but the public criticism he receives when players like
Mirallas, gueye etc receive none must play on his mind. Gueye was subbed at half time for stinking the gaff out numerous times but nothing was said others too.

Well that's the English media's fault not Koemans..... Christ every week Koeman has to answer questions about Barkley, every time we're on Sky it's Barkley this Barkley that....

I could see Arsenal making a bid for him, he seems like their type of player, and with him being young English (they have a lot of foreign players) and highly rated (at some point), a possession based team like them would feel they could get the best of them.

They need some big money signings this summer to appease fans, and are being linked with some big money moves, but also know they have no champions league football this year, so will be a blow to attracting the really big names.

Also Barkley has had some of his best performances against them, which always leaves a mark.

The fact we have been linked with a few of their squad players as well (Chambers, Giroud, Gibbs, Perez) could see any of them used as potential bargaining chips.

Just an opinion like, I have no Insider knowledge.

I feel the same as we are linked to Giroud from arsenal Ross may be appreciated there
reading the TG Jones book we always seem to crap on our better players - he - Joe Mercier Dave Hickson Alan Ball Bobby Collins - its not nice reading about the prince of centre halves and the way our club treated him he hated us when he finally was allowed to be moved on the Franz Anton Beckenbauer of his day!

That's more a condemnation of his coaching than the player.

Don't disagree he still should have played the game a bit better everyone saying he tells it like it is simply isn't true he plays the game when it suits.

Amazing and hilarious.

He isn't tho... he has more natural talent than most of our squad and a lot of prem players.. as does Gerri... but Barkley doesn't even have a position mate... he's been playing prem football for nearly 6 years and still doesn't have a position that you can say he's suited to.

Ross is so concerned with getting regular football to get back into the England set-up that he is looking to join a club where the competition for places is even stronger. Makes no sense

It's a lame excuse as he played as much last season as he feasibly could and was still snubbed by two England managers I mean Jake bloody Livermore got picked instead of him.

Why did he wash our laundry in public on Sky news before the season ended giving Ross ultimatums not seen any ultimatums given publicly to any players at at our club ever until then!
Also RK should not get embroiled in player contracts it's not his job
For me Klassen is only able to complement Ross not replace him!

Davek has an opinion and the are more lovers of Ross than haters if he signs and plays well I shall return to this thread,and rub your noses in it!
The bile on here for a home grown talent is horrific - it has been dealt badly by our club and manager - if he was sold then explain until then he is a blues player ok!

I dont believe it has been handled badly Joey, the gaffer wanted more from Ross, hence him calling him out, the gaffer was asked questions regarding Ross all season, as you say, Ronny doesnt handle the contracts, its up to Ross and the club to come to a deal, as of yet that hasnt happened, it takes 2 to get a deal done and it takes 2 to move a player on.

RK did not make a fuss about Lukaku not signing or give ultimatums , and he has been downright more public about moving on far more than Ross who has held his dignity in all this mess!!

Daves opinion isn't based on Ross and his ability its all nonsense click bait based around his Martinez delusion and difficulty to get past it, that aside I dont think anyone hates Ross, but he isnt making it easy by running a contract down like this. They also might not see him as being good enough to play for Everton at the level they want us to be at, but Ross could easily sort this by signing the contract or putting in a transfer request, he has done neither.
Lukaku to his credit has been totally open for ages, theres no reason why Ross cant do the same apart from greed
