Think the abuse he's going to get either way is going to pretty large because of this whole protracted ordeal. If he leaves he will be leaving his boyhood club who are signing pretty class players and finally acting like a Premier League team.

The fact he's a one club local lad doesn't matter one jot anywhere outside Everton. At £40M he won't be in that exclusive a club and would just be seen as yet another example of how transfer fees have grown. And I reckon it would be closer to £30M anyway.

Being here from a young age doesn't guarantee the first team manager and his staff will mollycoddle him. Sentimentality doesn't bring success and if Ross can't knuckle down and raise his game for his club then why should RonKo & Co care a jot about which academy he came through? Look down the M62 and tell me how often Alex Ferguson bent over backwards to support or help wantaway academy products. They had to earn it as otherwise he had no problem cutting them out.
 
I'd like him to stay but either way, just want this to be over with. Commit and tell us you're a boyhood blue who can't wait to play for Everton for years to come or ship out.
 

This should be one of the best transfer windows Evertonians have ever had, yet this so called Evertonian has cast his cloud over it.

Get rid of this Art Attack headed little turd.
 
After them selling a full back for £50+M I imagine that we already have the contract written to sell him to Spurs for £50M, one year or not left on his contract....

Get shut. He's shown his hand, he doesn't give a crap about the club or its supporters. Take the money and let him go, or don't take the money and let him stew for a year, either way.........

He wouldn't get anywhere near their first eleven imo Eggs, they've got Lamela coming back from injury too this pre season.
