Would love Ross to stay. But it doesn't look like its happening. Thats the blue in me wanting a talented blue to be successful at our club. But his apparent reluctance to sign the contract offered (for whatever reason) is disappointing to say the least. We simply can't be doing with that. Simply no sentiment at this late stage in proceedings. Business is business.

Just had a look at a Spurs fans forum, they don't seem particularly enthused about spurs buying him. Somehow I just don't think he will settle in London, but I guess that's only me thinking like that.

In truth, if he wasn't a scouser and was just some foreign player with the same talent, I wouldn't care half as much.

And it's just our luck that it's Spurs who we in for him as they'll happily wait until the last minute of the last day of the window in order to get him at the price they are willing to pay.

tbf we don't need the money. If this is the case, we give spurs our evaluation, we'll have an acceptable figure in our head and if they don't meet it, we tell them to jog on. They paid what newcastle laughably wanted for sissoko at a similar late stage for what was another player who could turn out to be a good return on investment whilst originally planned to be a backup player. If they don't meet our valuation, we let him rot until january and try and sell again. Show spurs that we're bigger and better than them and won't be bullied by them trying to get everything on their terms.

I still don't get how you get tapped up when you play for the club you support and they are investing in players and a new stadium.

Why leave now?
