Ross Barkley

I tire of this now...... it is starting to look like a Sissoko deadline day purchase for some mid table team who hasn't done well in the window and wants to be seen to be buying a name.

Spurs are pretty good wheeler dealers other than that Sissoko fiasco. Basically built a top 4 team without any net spend and Barkley for anywhere near 15mm would be a great purchase for them. Dunno about the wages...

I think Koeman wanted to prove to the world that Ross wasn't uncoachable, and he ultimately ended up frustrated with the results. IMO Ross made significant progress in several areas, but he needs to learn to keep life outside of F.C. Sexy from affecting him. You can't just fall down every time some D-BAG England manager snubs you. Prove that you deserve to be on the team by continuing that New Year form. Make it impossible to keep you out of the team.
Absolutely spot on lad!

Gylfi doesn't paint the Sistine Chapel. Ross' ceiling is higher than that.

How many more goals & assists does he need before we can call him Siggyangelo?

Tiresome indeed.
Wage demands a bit steep imo and hardly deserving of it given his overall performances over the past 18 months.
My question is, where has his sudden hardening of attitude come from? Gone from a likeable lad to an arrogant swaggering player in one foul swoop. I'm not sure I want him at the club now.

Cos he's apparently an Everton fan, and must surely know a new contract - with an agreement that it's only signed to keep his value up - would be best for the club.

But signing a new deal will surely end all if any interest in him as it states an intention to stay at Everton for the next 'x' amount of years.

As it stands, clubs are interested in him because they think they can get a decent player for a knockdown price because he's entering the final stage, if he still had a few years on his current contract, would clubs come in for him? Probably not.

I won't comment on this £150k figure for now beyond saying I cannot believe he could possibly have asked for that with a straight face, so I'm simply not going to believe that Mirror story is based on actual facts.
Tongue in cheek in my last post. Spurs captain and Kane aren't on that money, he ain't getting it. He won't be in their strongest team so no way are Spurs paying him that.
