This whole saga is just so peculiar. Koeman comes out with the 'he has a contract, if he doesn't sign it, we will sell him'.

THEN we hear that no contract was actually offered until after the season.

There is deafening silence from both parties.

Now a report that Barkley wants to be Spurs highest earner is FURIOUSLY denied by his camp. Which leads the road down to '...then he wants to go?'.


Honestly, I wouldn't care at this point if the contract was pulled and we stuck him in the u19s for the entire year to rot.

I always thought Ross would be an Everton lifer but it now looks he will leave this window... think this is the same as the sigurdsson deal we're both clubs valuations are miles apart, but both deals will be done one way or another. Am certain Ross will go to Spurs
And sigurdsson will sign for us..

One of these are not like the others.


So he's basically thrown a fit that he doesn't want players coming in HIS position(which nobody even knows what HIS position really is) but he's going to go to a team where he CLEARLY is inferior to others in 'his' position. Makes TOTAL sense...

If he's denying the story then it begs the question; who broke it and why? Could just be a journo being mischievous but there's usually a source.
