Not the same circumstances as Sigurdsson or Rom for that matter, as they have / had no local links with their clubs and thus the fanbase in the same way as a homegrown does.
Also, if he wanted to leave and was good enough to be a guaranteed starter in any of the current CL teams - as Rom obviously was - then I'd be more forgiving, but we all know that he wouldn't be a nailed on starter in any of those clubs current sides.

My point was how is he a judas for seeing out all his contracts, he hasn't seen this one out yet but was told if he didn't re-sign he would be sold. Surely the club would be in the wrong more than Barkley, for not letting him honour his contract.
The lad probably wants a move, but I don't see how he is a Judas.
Players like Osman and Hibbert give their career to the club and are treated disgustingly by a lot of fans.

This is good, might help push the price up but I cant see him going to United, after all the times Lukaku threw his hands in the air last season waiting for a pass he will tell them not to bother

He may not want to be here though, So it makes no difference what we offer him or if he is a boyhood blue. I haven't heard anyone at the club mention the contract offer since the ultimatum was given.
I think the only reason he will go is because of Koeman and i think he'll tell us this when he does go.
Yep thats the plus point, I think Moshiri is all out to get Champions League, its the ultimate, all players and managers want it makes us so much more attractive

I think this could be true, its interesting really as Barklay and Lukaku did appear to down tools for Martinez, perhaps spanish Bob sent a text to Koeman telling him who the snakes are

Barkley doesn't need to be vocal about a move, talk up a move or even put in a transfer request.
His situation dictates a move - and he and his representatives (same guy as Stones/Lescott) knows it.
