Bloody hell lads get a grip of yourselfs will you. You're grown adults.

It's just another footballer moving clubs. It's not the end of the world, no need to get so worked up.

He is doing what he thinks is best for his career, good for him. You can't be upset at the lad for that. The club is doing whats best for the clubs progression.

For the way koeman plays he has to shoehorn barkley into the squad. Creating a possition for him that doesn't fit into his style of play in order to play to his strengths and get the best out of him. Same with lukaku to a extent, we had to abandoned our pressing game to suit lukakus ability to score goals because lukaku couldn't press a doorbell.

Spurs on the other hand already have that position in their style of play. Also there will be people moving infront of him alot more and defences wont be able to double up on him as much. With the likes of kane and ali/Ericsson running about.

he wont be a starter for them but he will get games for them i would imagine he would start at least 30 games for them and make a good few substitute appearances. So he will get game time there.

Also poch is a good manager that I think could get the best out of him. He'll be like martinez was with him exsept a actually good manager.

I can't blame the lad for wanting to leave the club and further his career (in his head), whether he does or not will have to wait to be seen.

Tbh I'm just numb to it now. He's going so i stopped carring as soon as I realised it. Just want the club to get the best deal for him now, thats all I'm intrested in.
No need to be so sensible about it...

Barkley has probably had 2/3 contracts over his whole Everton career and has honoured every one of them. He would probably see his current one out too.

How is he a Judas.

He could sign a 5 year tomorrow and Koeman may sell him after 1.

Yet somehow this is more acceptable.

Why sign a contract for a manager who doesn't want you and then you could be stuck on a bench unable to leave.

Eh?

He has been offered a contract, and he played last season.

The manager has said repeatedly he wants him to stay and a contract wouldn't have been offered otherwise.

Bringing in competition for his place to get to the top 4 where Barkley said he wants to be...

Agree with the majority of your post but surely someone who starts 30 of 38 games in a season is considered 'a starter'!?

I know nothing. I just think that he is different from them. And many on here probably know more than Koeman. lol

Hate that attitude you dare question a signing you know nothing but they all sat here saying why do Spurs want him, well using the original logic Poch knows more so don't dare question it.

Plus Poch is a superior manager

But Lou...

He's not actually 'had a pop' at all.

Whenever he 'criticised' Ross, in the first half of the season, he did it at the same time as criticising all of the squad for not having enough attacking 'productivity', as he calls it. This is after making him captain for a game.

Then, when asked about the contract, he stated that Ross would be/had been offered a good deal but if he didn't sign we may have to sell, as the contract situation deemed it so. He's consistently also said 'we want to keep our best players'.

That's not having a pop.

Koeman rates Ross and Ross has worked hard to prove he can work under Koeman. He improved a lot from Xmas onwards last year. But still, 5 goals and 9 assists in all competitions isn't staggering is it? We need more, and Koeman said he'd be targeting the forward area.

But he hasn't signed a mega deal for this club. That's, at the end of the day, nobody else's decision except Ross.

We'll have to agree to disagree on that Toff, it was more of a rock solid comment Koeman made "if Ross doesn't sign by the end of the weekend then he will be sold." that's a bit more aggressive than "we may have to sell" as you say.

Also, trying to remember what game it was now, Ross actually had had a really good game, interviewer mentions to Koeman that he had had a good game, Koeman says yeah, then goes on to criticise Ross about the things he felt he didn't do right, he didn't have to do that, could have left it for the changies.

Ross hasn't come out whinging to the press etc, but he is being absolutely slated to death, as a big Ross fan maybe that's what I can't get my head around mate.

haha, i'd laugh my face off if a bidding war started between 3 CL teams for a player who doesn't even get in our team at current point. As well as deulofeu, a fringe player here going to barca, this summer has been very odd.

Not sure how i feel about a summer where lukaku, barkley and dela all leave. Makes me a bit sad, even though lukaku's the only one who i'd put in my starting XI. We'd have had serious options with those two on the bench.

For Ross Barkley read

Franny Jeffers won the league with arsenal and scottish cup runner up with motherwell
Jack Rodwell won the league and league cup with city
Steven Pienaar played in champions league with spurs
Joloen Lescott won the league and FA cup with city

Andre Kanchelskis ( spelling)
John Stones ( to a point)

all thought the grass was greener and trophies were handed out automatically and life would be happy ever after.

WAKE UP ROSS AND SMELL THE COFFEE !!!!!!!!!

Cracking picture that.

They'll be looking to play upwards of 50 games next season. A lot of those 30 starts will not be in the Premier or Champions League. Barring injury I very much doubt he'd be a starter in any of the big games for them.
