Alli is like 19 you know, and it's his first season in the league
Anyway, Barkley is ace
I'm not the one building Alli up mate, the media/pundits are the one's doing that.

Alli is going to be a special player as well. Still cant believe we didn't go for him when we got Galloway.
Don't mind the building up so much, although think it a bit daft, it is the absolutely savage way they tear them down a few months later I deplore.Good player, like a lot of English players though, the media/pundits build them up into something they haven't reached yet.
Tbf Ali has been excellent, reminds me a bit of Ross his first season although slightly more advanced - Barkley's leg break and lack of game time could well have accounted for some of the difference. However Ross has come back from that trauma, a MCL injury, the pressure of a World Cup and last years poor season - really showing his mentality now which is what often seperates the best from the rest.
Ali will hit a rough patch at some point, not that I wish it on him but all young players do as we're seeing with Stones, time will tell how he deals with it.

Ali has 96 professional games under his belt Barkley 107. Granted barkleys are at a higher level but there levels of experience are closer than the 3 year age gap would lead us to believe
Alli 139
Barkley 194
Barkley missed at least a season due to his almost career ending injury.
Popcorn. No chance. Barkley is compared to the likes of Gascoigne which is the most insane over-reaction. Ross isn't fit to lace Gazza's boots at a similar age. I was at the game for his debut in August 11 against QPR. He really showed promise with a few lovely moves and breaks forward. But his end product was off. No worries he's only young. Fast forward four and a half years and little has changed.
I like the fact he's a blue don't get me wrong but to suggest we have some kind of world class potential on our hands is madness. I'd swap him for Dele Ali of Spurs in a heartbeat or take £30m off anyone willing to sign that cheque.
