Ross Barkley

I could have said :"Please do not remove your blindfold in the forseeable future for the bright light of reality will permanently blind you -
rather let other experts like Hodgson convince you after they have seen it clearly." - but i won't.
A very small percentage of fans outside Everton believe that we have in Barkley a future world star nr 10(nevermind a present one) in our midst -
How many of our goals from open play has been created by our main creator ?
By the way ,our real main creator has been Deulefeu - but he is not good enough to even make the starting line-up.Neither is Mirallas - Martinez seems to favour English players like Lennon, Cleverly and Osman and even oddly Kone above those two.
Everton fans in general get carried away too quickly with English players - since our "world star" defenders Stones and Baines have been dropped we started seeing clean sheets again.
Stones and Barkley and Baines are similar in that they all have very strong points but at the same time very weak ones - all three are not complete players yet - England lacks real world stars like Gerard, young Roony, Terry, Giggs , Lampard ,Shearer etc- that is why their international football is in the state it is.
You can not put Barkley and Stones in that league yet ,can you?
potential means nothing in practice - lets focus on reality rather than potential -
you can bin me and my opinion straight away - of course i may be wrong - but remember you might be wrong too -
but you are fully entitled to your opinion - and i will listen to it with the respect it deserves without dooming it to failure forthright like you did with mine - only time will tell.
You say "A very small percentage of fans outside Everton believe that we have in Barkley a future world star "
We're do you reference this from I work everywhere but Liverpool so the majority of people in work who i talk too regarding football are not Everton fans. The main two people are city &'United fans season ticket holders & both have him as there number one achievable transfer target & think he is head & shoulders above all other English players.
There are countless other contributors mostly Scottish people whom when we talk about football want to talk mostly about him & to a lesser extent lukaku.

Thought alongside Lennon he was our best player yesterday. He's getting to that point now where he doesnt need a goal or an assist to say he has a good game, he's having good games regardless of scoring or assisting (If that makes sense).

His all round game has improved immensely and i do hope we are able to tie him down to a long term contract because ill be gutted if he leave. Love both Lukaku and Stones but they can leave before Ross.

Looking at the time you posted this; Sun 9:29am, you wouldn't have bothered buying a paper (Nor would I) and couldn't be arsed putting Sky Sports on, It's commonly known as EFCH, I have suffered with it for more than 60 years: The Sunday morning Hangover.(Not with ale).
I disagree with most of your views, but as you say we are all entitled to our own opinion. Can't argue with Shearer or Roonie both world class,
Giggs is Irish, John Terry has too many Prison visits to make on a Saturday pm. But these Two imposters Stevie G and Fwank Lampard, they have cost the last 3 England managers their jobs, I have no argument with prem performances, but if we played any national team rated as top eight,
they would go missing or the game would pass them both by.
Keep away from them 'Bins', especially on a Sunday.

Mattinez has said that when Barry is finished with us we will "have to find a new way to play".

Our central players would be Barkley,Tarashaj,Besic and McCarthy for 3 positions in this formation. Not discounting the u21s like Ledson/Walsh perhaps.

Barkley will either stay in am attacking position or move a bit deeper, however i think he would (and we would as a team) benefit enormously by having a playmaker in the centre to combine with him and open up teams like WBA etc where we have lacked the final ball.

Wasn't Tarashaj bought for the left wing position?

Yeh it will be putting the ball in the net against crap two banks of four no marks !!

Barkley, without being biased is one of the best England upcoming players. Think he can go further in his career than Stones will, what he can do on the ball is nothing like many other players this country has. We should count ourselves very lucky, however I do feel until we have the right backing from above we could struggle to hold onto him.

I'm confident we've got him for another year at least.

Need to get him on a new deal asap though.

How much does a new deal really matter though? If anything it just boost's the cost of the player if we sell, which whatever price you put on his head it wont benefit the team as we won't re-invest properly. Say's a lot if we sell Barkley, basically saying come get Stones and Lukaku too for big money.

'Roonie' is world class. Giggs is Irish.

Am I asleep?
