Well a lot of our fans are too negative I agree, and I do see your point. But there are always improvements to be made in every players game. There are only a handful of players who don't really need to change their weaknesses as they are so good anyway. Messi being so one footed for example.

I think Ross would be a better player with a bit more aggression and considering his physique and athletic ability, I see no reason why he can't add it to his game. I'd sooner he concentrated on his through balls at the moment though as the rest of his attacking game is superb.

The reason a lot of people are focused on ross and his negative aspects of the game is because he has the ability to become one of the worlds best all round players, he has technical ability, pace, power, two feet, attacking threat, balance, strong body, he can be whatever he wants to be. In order to be the worlds best you have to acknowledge the bad with the good.

Ohh yeah and as for Maldini ? The man was so good he didn't need to tackle, he just waited for the player to give it to him, such was his intelligence at reading the game, probably my all time favourite defender behind Hibbert.

Course he would be better if he added tracking back, making tackles and winning headers AND still do all the attacking work he does, that would make him THE most complete footballer in the history of the game.

If he does not improve 1 bit from now, he is better than any midfielder we have had in decades.

We could never attract a player as good as him to the club.

The whole debate is only taking place because of our poor results. We are over analysing every little detail let's just enjoy him noble is being talked up for a place in the England squad & he can be added to the long list of centre midfielders Barkley has simply walked past at will this season. If I was a professional footballer playing centre midfield he would scare the living day lights out of me

But yaya is poor defensive, always hase been and is not good at all at tracking back and tackling.
You know Yaya started out as a McCarthy style destroying midfielder, right? It wasn't until Manchester City signed him that he started changing to a creative attacking player without any defensive responsibilities. For a few years there, before his legs started to go, he was the most complete player I've ever seen.

Well no, he played central midfield in physically weak leagues, and added zero attacking play. Now he is attacking but showing zero defensive play.....and is/was classed as World Class, while ALWAYS showing weakness!!!!

Seems that from Ross, people are asking Yaya style physical attacking, with Iniesta/xavi precisions passing, Essien defensive duties, with Gerrard shooting numbers.....and Gazza dribbling and skill.

Completely unrealistic.

Yeah, it's ok for Barry and McCarthy to have huge flaws in their game and he part of an embarassing defensive effort but Ross, with some of the best attacking stats in the league, gets panned for not being the complete player. Laughable.

All the Non evertonians at my work today were drooling over Ross's chest and shot on Saturday, goal of the season if he didn't save it.

I Spent about a season moaning about ross's lack of tracking/pressing until I watched him for England and he was working all over the pitch. Made me realize he is deffo under orders to always be in position to receive the ball I.E he gets a free role.

He is definitely told to stay up and try to slip Lukaku through when we are on the break.

Right lazy is our Ross.
