Ross Barkley

Gutted for him but it'll give him a good rest and keep him injury free. Despite that he'll be really upset about it im sure, he said it really hurt not playing in France so this will be a blow but the kid's got more than enough drive to see this as motivation to kick on and prove Big Sam wrong. Regardless of that, how on earth is Walcott in there? Henderson? Antonio? Drinkwater? Not the most inspiring midfield.

This will make his head drop even more judging by the feelings he expressed in that interview. Liverpool favouritism again with that crap in midfield

Barkley should do a Carragher and just sod England off, it's a dog and pony show that will never change and even when he is picked he'll always get people on his back whether it be idiot fans from down south or bias journalists.

Everyone (including us) labelled Carragher a bitter little whinger at the time (which he is btw) but he was miles ahead of many of his peers in realising that fretting about whether or not you're getting called up for England is just a waste of time. Stay at home and make the use of the facilities at the club training ground that you get to have all to yourself, it will save years of your club career. Who care what all these little Englanders who read the S*n and sing Don't Take Me Home think, the average Evertonian definitely doesn't fall into that crowd.

There's enough of them on here.

I understand everyone saying "good rather him here anyway" and I feel that way too somewhat but he most definitely doesn't. It will hurt us in the long run if he's not getting capped.

Exactly. I'm actually fuming over this because it was clear how Barkley was disappointed that he didn't get a shot at the euros, now he's started off the season well, increased his work rate significantly, and is seemingly desperate to prove himself and gets dropped completely for these [Poor language removed] players.

Football or not, the feeling of putting hard work into something, doing well at it and then being completely ignored by your boss is horrible.

You're absolutely spot on. The whole thing's a farce.

Even when our players get picked they just bare the brunt of the witch hunt after a bad performance. If they do happen to put a decent shift in they get linked with any club that's been in the Champions League over the last 10 years.

The value of international football is completely zero anyway. You just look at the ease at which England qualified with last time around. These games against inferior opposite serve bugger all purpose- it's basically your 3rd round of the FA Cup equivalent at international level.
