That instant control/flick thing to Naismith in the second half though.
I don't know how to word what the hell he did, but it was sensational.
Had a look for it and found it - 7:26 on this
This. It's a great thing to have a player on the team who just makes you laugh with glee at least once a match. Right now we have three.
The contrast between him and Shelvey was bleak for the pikey on SaturdayLove watching him when he in the mood. Thank God we have Martinez as his manager as we have seen how roy doesn't like tonstart him
What did he doHe did something else in the first half on the left wing, anyone got the footage?
I can understand some getting frustrated with him last season as he under-performed but how any evertonian can not be a Barkley fan is beyond me! He is all things good, pacey, strong, likes a strike, plays through balls, runs with the ball at people and is an evertonian himself. I can't wait for him to claim a derby match as his own.I'd go as far as to suggest that Saturday was Barkley's best performance in an Everton shirt
Was sat with a mate of mine at Swansea who is not a Barkley fan and even he admitted that Barkley was the best player on the pitch on Saturday.
He was marvellous - everything I've been critical about of him in the past - his decision making, his choice of pass and timing of when to release the ball, etc - all of it was hugely improved on Saturday. A proper class display. Delighted with him.
Imagine the thought process to do that for your first touch off a goalkeeper's clearance. The execution was perfect too, magical.
