Sorry Ross, you're utter turd. All the ability in the world, but you're a coward and have no footballing brain. Not a 17yr old prospect any more. Either start doing the business or at least putting a shift in, or find another club. The last sentence applies to 80% of the squad though tbh.

Really quite sad this.

Probably needs to leave as we'll always demand more than he is capable of.

That aside, he was dire today. So too were the other 9 outfield players.

This is just suicidal, to play in that position you need a brain. You also need to be able to tackle - something Barkley seems to avoid at all costs.

How did he stay on the pitch as long as he did? Terrible performce.

In the past when he's been having a bad game you could see he was trying too hard at times, but today just looked like he wasn't bothered. He seems like he's playing without any passion or heart.

He looks unfit, doesn't close down, doesn't win any headers, doesn't tackle. Decision making is awful, holds onto the ball instead of playing it quickly, which slows everything down. When he does play the ball, I lost count of how many times he gave the ball away.

Needs to buck his ideas up quickly, other wise his talent will be wasted.

I think we've just got to accept that he's turned out to be a pretty average footballer. It happens - but there's no room for sentimentality in football if you want to be successful.

Let's face it, his confidence is shattered. The small carrot and big stick strategy used on him has not worked. He needs to be given a boost confidence wise. Slaughtering him in public won't do the job.

How is that done then? Sorry to say it but as much as I love Ross he's a professional footballer, gets paid well for it and need to start turning in performances under his own steam, he's 22-yrs old!
