So both haven't got one year left on their contract
Both haven't been tapped up
Both want to leave their respective clubs
Both haven't been replaced / soon will be replaced (Siggy /Lacazette) by their managers
Both clubs haven't said they won't be sold / sold only if the offer is right
I agree that Sanches is a better player but the similarities in their situation are striking and Arsenal will play Sanches for one year more depriving someone who wants to be there gametime

For me the options are 1. he signs the new deal 2. not signing and sell him before 31 August 3. let him runs down his contract and aid his development by playing him in the first team.

Option 3 is just silly the club will be the utilimate loser. I think option 2 is visible as Koeman made that clear in May. He just changed the tone a bit in case there is a possibility that a strike can be negotiated with his agent which at this time, has a very slim chance of happening.

Now he is back training I wonder if Rooney can bend his ear to sign a new deal.
Alan Myers responded to a tweet about the players trying to persuade him to stay saying it was a true story

It went Something like if Rooney, Jags, Baines, Davies etc had no effect, don't think Al will either.big dunc can't even frighten him into signing lol

That would be great but I think he is more likely to say let your agent sort it out and get you what you think is the best deal for your career. I would like Ross to stay so here's hoping he tells him about the merits in staying.

He's played more than two games

And if may I add if he can't perform against Ruzemberok then the likelihood is his struggles will be far worse in the premier league

If I may add, he looks very technically good and has a sublime touch.

You probably will not notice that though as you watch everything through red mist apparently. :)
