I don't think you are arguing against Spurs, I think you are arguing against Levy.

I mostly disagree with arguments against Levy because it really just comes down to the maths of the situation from the official accounts which I take a look at every year. We earn a certain amount per year and it's significantly less than those other 5 clubs and the only thing we can do about it is what we are currently doing.

Also I would say that one of those players we bought with the Bale money was Eriksen who in todays market is probably worth close to what we sold Bale for so it's ended up not bad at all.
I argue with me mate on a weekly basis, wasn't Eriksen bought before Bale? Regardless, he's 2nd/3rd best playmaker in league behind Silva/DeBruyne..

Here's a pic of our fab 7 at the end of the summer we sold Bale. All were pretty much failiures apart from Eriksen and Lamela.

Chadli served us well as well to be fair and made us a nice profit on his sale.

Not everybody at all. Everton couldn't afford to pay them more, or if they could it would only be by having an unfair wage structure where 1 player earns way more than everybody else.

The whole situation is very simple maths so I really can't undestand where you are coming from. Levy can't pull money off trees, he pays them the same proportion of turnover he has always paid the players and it's directly linked to how much money Tottenham get.

What would your idea be? To make it 80% of the clubs turnover and run the club into the ground like Leeds or Portsmouth?

We aren't around you tho are we? We are the best of the rest.. but nowhere near top 4... which is where you are

BARKLEY WILL TAKE PAY CUT TO JOIN SPURS

Ross Barkley will ignore the furore over Tottenham's wage structure to swap Goodison Park for North London, according to talkSPORT.

Barkley is prepared to agree terms on a £70,000 a week deal in order to sign for Mauricio Pocettino's side despite having turned down a £100,000 a week offer to stay at Everton.

Following the breakdown in talks boss Ronald Koeman announced that the England midfielder was no longer part his his plans which has ignited Spurs' interest.

God he must be desperate to leave if that is the case. To take a potential 30% wage cut is unheard of in the modern game. I'm sure Daniel Levy is hoping he can have the same effect on the rest of the spurs dressing room unlike Danny Rose. :)

If thats true his personal life is playing on this move with all the rumours circulating about them!
