No they're not. They're a much smaller club then us who are just currently in a better position, Manchester City aren't even close to us in terms of the "bigger club" and no rewriting of history from Sky and the rest of the media can change that.

Bank rolled by an oil state with arguably the finest manager in world football and world class players all over the shop. Lets not kid ourselves, about 6 years ago your statement was true, now city are part of the elite, far far bigger than us in stature.

It's still true. So you've fallen for the media BS hook line and sinker. City have no stature, it's a small club filled with mercenary's. Nobody in Europe considers City a "big club". Are Leicester a bigger club then us to? It's laughable that you seriously think City are a "bigger club" then us in any sense at all. They're a nothing club that won the lottery and no amount of bought trophys will ever change that.

I way I look at it is Trophies, we can quote we have won this and that but face facts 1995 was our last major trophy. Unfortunately, because of their oil rich owners city have made themselves into a decent side and won in recent years (see below). That is 5 Trophies we would love to add to our trophy cabinet.
Premiership 2011–12, 2013–14
Fa cup 2010-11
Football league cup 2013–14, 2015–16

History means somthing you know. Trophys don't mean less if they were won back in the 80's or prior. Leicester won the premier league more recently then Man City so are they a bigger club then Man City? It's utterly depressing that we have people in our fans base who seriously rate Man City a club who were in the third tier of English football not so long ago and were a pitiful club until they became a play thing for a billionaire. Ditto for Chelsea, small club that won the lottery.

This is my last response as its the wrong thread. Of course, history means something, I am fortunately older enough to see the great times of the 80's. Recently though because of their money, they have overtaken us in terms of club stature. This is a forum and people have different views if someone does not agree with your view that does not say they are wrong. I honestly wish it was us with the billionaires but it's not.

As it stands currently, Chelsea and City are seen as bigger clubs around the world than us.

Sad but true.

They might be seen as bigger then us to ignorant idiots who know nothing about the game and the agenda driven media but to those who know their history Man City aren't even close to us.

If spurs come sniffing at the last minute which seems to be their strategy to get a last minute bargain I hope ronko says 'no'.

Keep him as a squad filler.

Can't stand that levy.

If the bottom drops out of the Oil market then we'll see how big these clubs are.

Anyway....Barkley....is there any part of that bridge not reduced to charcoal?

TalkSport claiming that he's willing to take a 'pay cut' to earn £70k a week at Spurs...

The lad's dead to me if he leaves for less money to sit on the Tottenham bench.
