I don't think football players care about the statute of clubs mate and I never claimed they do. 99% of football players are mercenary's and will play for anyone who pays them enough. They see City and Chelsea have the money and that's enough. Cash Will always beat stature but that doesn't mean th3 clubs who have the most cash are the biggest.

Mate ... if we offered lukaku 300k a week he would still have gone to united... we are not seen as a big club... that's a fact

United yes, but if we had that kind of cash to spend on our team and compete for titles I doubt City would be a big draw. Chelsea maybe but only because it's in London.

Anyway neither of us will change our opinions here so it's probably best to not derail the thread anymore.

I get it.. Everton are bigger in my eyes... but I realise that I have blue tinted specs and the rest of the world don't

I don't dispute they're a bigger draw then us currently mate. They clearly are but as far as I'm concerned until they overtake our trophy count they aren't bigger then us. Just my opinion like. In any event it doesn't really matter how big a club is these days. I consider Sheffield Wensday, Leeds and Derby far bigger then say Swansea, Burnley and Brighton but the bulk of the world would probably disagree.

Getting back to the point on Ross though, he wouldn't be playing for a "bigger club" regularly because he would almost certainly be relegated to their bench imo as a squad player.

Come on children this is like my toy is bigger than your toy - we have not won the Prem -nor have the other lot - moneywise we are way behind the City's Unts etc - catching up a bit - so lets stay on subject i.e. Ross Barkley will he stay or will he go , and if he goes how much for and who too?

Does he think these lads don't know where the smoke is like?

I don't get it.
The old saying out of sight out of mind , and also making him leave his boyhood club - driven out of town and area may be suffice allegedly those are the rumours may be bull, but the club fight the fact no charges were pressed with CTV - sources may be adding 2+2 and making 5 or not?

SSN making a lot of the fact he's been filmed training with the squad today saying now he could be staying?

I don't get this seeing as Koeman said at his presser on Thursday that he was back in training with the squad.

They really do like to create their own dramas don't they. Or maybe not enough punters are having a bet on Ross staying at Everton and are just trying to drum up interest for Skybet.

Or he just doesn't want to play for his boyhood club anymore.

I would agree with this,

Most of the players these days are pre premier League era so what happened before means nothing to them, they have no clue about who won what in the 70's,80's. We are probably considered the 7th biggest club to most people these days anyway.
