If he winds up staying, will he be booed?

Undoubtedly by some if he stays.

He's ran down his contract with us with the intention of getting off at a time when we're looking to move forward and were counting on him being a part of that.

Evertonians also have long memories and I remember this particular interview from after signing his last contract 3 years ago: http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/ross-barkley-says-memory-wayne-7530137

“I knew what it meant to me when Rooney left because he was one of the better players at the time,” said Barkley.

“We thought Everton could’ve pushed on at the time but when he left we were all down.

“I know how the fans felt and I just wanted to sign and push on for Everton.”

“We’ve got keep good players at the club which we have with Bainesy (Leighton Baines) signing his new contract last year and Seamus (Coleman) and a few others signing new contracts.

“It shows we want to push on and not stand still.”

If he winds up staying, will he be booed?
I doubt it but then if he's playing for us around April and still hasn't signed anything then at that stage maybe. I'd hope if nobody comes in for him he'd have enough sense to sign a new contract on the understanding that if he still wants out next window he'll have to do enough to impress potential bidders to poney up the cash. If he seriously won't sign even after nobody coming in for him then he can't play for us again and shouldn't even be allowed to train with the kids.

Ross should be running out for the likes of WHU or Newcastle. Judging by yesterday they are badly in need of his services.

As said above he'd only be a bencher at Spurs or whatever.

I can't believe he's purely motivated by the cash. Maybe his Mr Ten Percent is, however.
