If Spurs only rate him as a bargain bucket 20 m last day signing to warm the bench with Sissoko and Jansen and no one else has bothered submitting a bid , it shows what clubs really think of him.
If he doesn't sign for us he will have the embarrassment as touting himself out to clubs as a non match fit free agent next summer
The lad should swallow his pride and sign the contract.

I'd prefer if he went to Chelsea
It would improve relations with Chelsea
Might improve our slim chance of Costa on loan , if not then Zouma next summer if he becomes available
A full season in the PL with Stoke will see him come on in leaps and bounds

No neither club have bid for him yet
Neither has any other CL club
So far it's only tomorrow's fish and chip wrappers claiming the interest.
When a club makes an official bid then it's a different story.
But IF Chelsea and Spurs do bid on the last day at what they consider a realistic price (20m or so ) then if the club decide to accept an offer I'd prefer Chelsea
They all knew he was available at the end of the season and no one has made a bid.

He has to go now. He wont get a game with the signings that's come in even when he is fit...not because he doesn't piss over most of them, but he wont get in ahead of a new player bought by this manager who wanted him gone last summer.

Just hope the lad finds a top club and we get something for him and he can kick on with his career. A crying shame for us and him.

It's also only rumours that Chelsea will play £38m for Oxlade Chamberlain but, given he's also in the final year of his contract and imo ROSS is a better player, £20m seems like we should keep hold of him. Koeman can then show him his 'apparent' new warmer outlook towards him.

I'd love Ross to stay
The only problem I can see other managers having is where to play him.
Is he part of a midfield 3 or is he an attacker supporting a main striker.
I always thought he would end up as a partner for Morgan due to his ability to carry the ball from his own half to the edge of the opposition box.
Problem is his tackling and final decision making is poor.
RK played him further forward and his return was poor for someone of his ability
It's a bit of a connumdrum but hopefully it all clicks into place for the lad
I think he's been very badly advised.
He should have told Spurs "if you are genuinely interested bid early and bid a fair price or I'm re signing for Everton "

I agree with a portion of that but, disagree with or feel there are reasons for other points you make. It's a rehash of all stuff already said in this thread, if I state them.
The last points you make..you or I don't really know what's happened/happening behind the scenes.
It's all conjecture until the real reasons leak out eventually?
