It's modern football. No tears from me. If he plays well when he's available again then that's all that counts. When he's no longer an Everton player then he's no longer our concern. Sad truth. No loyalty in today's game.

Look, Spurs and Barkley have this all stitched up. We have been royally screwed. Now it's just about retaliation. Ross must be kept until the end of the season, no training, nothing, his world cup has gone. Second we must screw up Spurs, slowly, over time by disrupting their playing staff and undermining any of their efforts to sign a player. Let it be known that we are going to have a go back, and make sure we kick the crap out of them on the pitch by putting out the biggest kids we have, they can have the 3 points and we'll take 6 red cards and several kneecaps.....They are pretty smug at the moment, it's time this twice title winning team was put back in its place......

Let him rot in U14 with no game-time and no first team training for him. He screwed us for getting £35m yesterday.

I think there needs to be a stand by the club, but it depends what price is respect to the those who you have nurtured.

In January, when Spurs come calling with £10-15m, then we should say no, wait until his contract ends.

This is the only choice the club has.

Why do this, well it's my view, as per norm on England duty, that Ross has been tapped up by them. So the player has no comeback about unfair treatment. Keep him out of the team not playing until his contract runs out. Its a year of his career wasted that he's gambled for the sake of a move he has provoked and when you gamble you have to pay your dues.

I really want Ross to stay, but it ain't going to happen, so I would suggest the above to send a message that respect not money is our priority.

Old fashioned values, but maybe it's needed.

If Ross does screw us over and go to Spurs on the cheap, for me that is right up there, worse than Gosling and up there with Barmby :-(

So you think he should value getting Everton a bigger fee over choosing the club thats right for him ?

That seems the be the general view of our fans at the moment.

Maybe he's not the only one being selfish..

I agree mate. He's a Blue like us, the other two had no feeling for the club before they done the dirty on us.

Hope it bites him on the arse.
