2017/18 Ross Barkley

Barkley is a man boy whose talent as footballer as slowed down if not regressed. I suspect he is far more interested in what football offers him off the field. Hence where we are with him. He is worth a punt by other clubs because may just come good again and sell a few shirts, but well down the asset list. There are caveats to the following but Barkley situation thus far is not one of them for me, indeed, if he has an ounce of professionalism he will get his head down and work hard and get back to being a good professional and it would foolish of Everton not utilise any asset for our greater good.
I get what you are saying, but geowing up in the city and living here all my life I know how ingrained the club is in the people's culture. After all the club is about its people.
To disrespect the people who have backed him in this way is just not acceptable. He wants to go, fine, I accept that. What I can't handle is the way he's going about it. It's snide and he should never be given the PRIVILEGE of being able to represent my people ever again, he's a rat!

Doubt he is really injured. Just using that as an excuse to run down contract even further and pocket massive signing on fee.
I'm starting to doubt his injury too. I've been asking if anyone knows how day to day training actually goes, but if he's the kind of person we suspect he is, how does he interact with players, all of whom know or think that he doesn't want to be here? If he's spineless like we suspect, then he probably is better of staying at home

It is irrelevant whether he had a medical. He will leave in January as he does not care about Everton. It is all about his refusal to stay and compete under Kooman. Good luck to him as he will need it

It is alleged he was offered 155k a week by Chelsea which he accepted, we should offer the same and see what happens. If he signs we will see next summer how desperate any potential new club are. I guess it is all a big chess game by other clubs to weaken other rivals.
You're right it's a game of chess, very strategic. Everton have to be much more savvy at this.
I never though I'd see this after Dan Gosling, letting any player of even low value run a contract down never mind a valuable England international.
The club need to rehabilitate him through his injury and make clear he is to be sold in January. If plays silly beggars again he must be banned from training to ensure his footy fitness and game sharpness is nowhere near standard for his next club plus forcing him to miss the world cup, the beaut.

Assess his options in January? Don't give him options to assess.

ASSESS THIS!

Koeman knew all along the snides plan which we're all seeing now - run down contract.

The club tried to force the issue - rightly.

He is a rat.

A man with his money, status and responsibility should not be out getting smacked in bars and go holidaying in ibiza with 'the lads'.

For so many managers to have been weary of playing him for club and country there are clearly issues regarding Ross the boy as much as Ross the footballer.

As a player he is an asset but as an individual perhaps we are best off shut of him. Him leaving on a free would be the ultimate betrayal.
