Only if you trust Barkley. So Moshiris comments about the medical are a proven lie then ?
It really is weird. If so, why agree terms with Chelsea? That's the opposite of being "tapped up", because if he was he wouldn't have entertained Chelsea and definitely wouldn't have agreed terms.
That's where the confusion comes in for me.
Basically this, shut your gob, get fit and knuckle down. Or you'll ruin your career. It really is weird.
Barkley is clearly trying to suggest the Chelsea deal wasn't as far along as has been suggested.
But really, all he's denied is the medical. In order to get that far, terms need to be agreed. As you say, they must have been. He hasn't tried to deny that.
His statement is so very stupid, on every level.
If it's a message to Spurs, it's totally empty. They'll know he must have agreed terms with Chelsea, and so the medical is merely an irrelevant post script to that.
It can't be a message to Chelsea, because they know exactly what did or didn't happen.
It's not a message to Everton, because none of it is directed at Everton. Except the bizarre 'thanks for the support' he tagged on the end.
The more I think about it, the less sense it makes.
Is he honestly only bothered about setting the record straight about whether or not he saw a doctor? Who cares?
Why would you name your dog "Scheming Rat"? Seriously though, just another kick in the teeth administered by our Ross.I don't think further debate is needed after this.. what a rat.
Named my dog after him & everything!
I reckon his agent has saidIt really is weird.

Sums it up pretty nicely. Especially the highlighted bit.
I know you touched on it mate, but one of the things I can't get my head around is why he's got his heart set so much on moving to Spurs. They clearly don't give a toss about him. They weren't prepared to pay good money for him this window, and are quite happy for him to be hung out to dry by his club and fans in a world cup year. Plus they did their best to buy in an alternative in Gomes from Barcelona. This could all end badly for the lad and it would be mostly his own fault if it does.
ah brilliant, keeps us all in the dark with his contract situation, but as soon as the club supposedly falsly accuses him of being silly he comes straight out to the media to clear his own name.
This just wreaks of him and chelsea slyly agreeing a much cheaper transfer in january.
I wonder who writes his tweets? Certainly not the man himself.Denying he had a medical,be interesting to see if anyone at Chelsea comments,
I wonder if he'll be sitting in the stand against Spurs? Should be interesting.

Instead, he allowed the club to agree terms with Chelsea, then agreed personal terms, and had a medical at the very least arranged before pulling the plug. Therefore, he's stitched up the club - he's completely thrown our business off course. If his aim was to run the contract down, simply tell the club that this summer and so be it, we can plan around it and move on.
I have no problem with Barkley furthering his career, but if it's at the expense of harming the club when it could easily be avoided, then he's a disrespectful "breast" and needs calling out on it.
He's had kisses blown off his arse since day dot, I can't wait to see his progress once he shuffles off elsewhere. That he is, however, it’s been a long time coming with him as far as im concerned so maybe im less surprised by his posistion, there is little or no professionalism in him, nowhere near the likes of Baines Jagielka Cahill et el.
