..not sure we will sell him to Spurs unless they're prepared to pay £30m. The clubs negotiating reputation is at stake, looking at the bigger picture it could be beneficial to keep him to his contract. Levy is known as a shrewd operator, he can't be seen to win this one.

Definitely. For the good of future negotiations we have to dig or heels in with this one. In a strange comparison it's the same logic as governments never negotiating with terrorists.

Barkley should be told to stay at home and frozen out of all activity relating to the club.

Not a single person on here wouldnt put themselves first, y'all fooling nobody.

..that's a reasonable view. I always think about the situation if I was advising the player but this could become seriously unstuck for him.

The Champions offered £35m, meaning he immediately pocketed £3.5m plus a massive salary increase. He's walked away from that. Spurs might have a change of mind or might not meet Everton's January evaluation. He can walk on a Bosman in 12 months but I'm not sure if many top clubs will be queuing to buy him having had a season out.

Him and Spurs might not be holding the aces, he might come very unstuck for not grabbing the opportunity when it arose.

He has never got a game for England when he's been fit and firing, why would he now?

He's done in my eyes, finished

He's at least on fringes. England has zero midfield creativity. If he shows any kind of form before the WC, then he's in the squad imo.

He won't get anywhere near that Spurs side though, eggs.
