Sadly the money we will get from his sale is dropping every week as his contract runs down. I think he will go on a free in the summer. Can't see anyone splashing out for him in January. He is injured and will likely have had no first team football for 7 months by then so will be unfit. It's not like anyone is going to see him as coming in and having an immediate impact. He will go for free in the summer to the club that offers the best contract and Everton will get nothing.

..the indications are that Spurs and Chelsea are still keen, though it’s hard to believe Chelsea are after his actions on the last day of the window. I suspect he’ll go in January, Spurs will want him as back up for the remainder of the season. If he doesn’t go, it’ll be because he wants to run his contract down.

Spurs seem very keen but he's hardly going to be match fit, which makes me think summer.

I was also reading that when a player under 24 chooses not to accept a new contract from their club, that is at least as good as their current contract, and leaves on a free then the club are entitled to compensation by tribunal for all the development. When Liverpool bought Danny Ings on a free they ended up paying $6.5m plus $1.5m add ons to Burnley and there is a 20% sell on fee. So if Barkley does run out contract there should be compensation.

And it's a wage off the books.

welcome home Ross

I see someone better than that chump delli toepoke, put ross alongside erikksen, dembele and with kane to hit, two progressive full backs to overlap, and a good manager, he will pull up tree's there
I wish I was gracious enough to wish him well in his future endeavours but I’m not.

Although I am fickle enough to cheer him if he stays :)

Whether it is or isn't, he was not able, or unwilling, to convince Stones, Lukaku or Barkley that their long term futures and ambitions could be met by this football club. That alone should see him dismissed from his post, especially with their replacements currently being Williams, Klaassen/*Sigurdsson and Rooney. A step down in quality.

*Sigurdsson 'might' come good, but not in this current set up.

Agreed. The man is utter poison.

I see bench warmer at Spurs, leave for regular football at Newcastle and return clapped out at 30.

Lots of Toeys from Roscoe, plenty of silver. Lovely boy who just wants to play for the Everton but not for Koeman's Everton.

Should never have sacked Martinez.

I mean, imagine Barkley in an Unsworth led team. Christ, we'd be better off.

No one seems suited to this “system” of Koeman. We are wasting our squad and I think it’s fair to say if Ross resigned then he will long outsee Ron at Everton.

But I don’t think he wants to play for us anymore.

It will be interesting to see if that list goes the longer Koeman stays.
