2017/18 Ross Barkley

Personally think he needs a loan move away, (when hes back to fitness) just for his own good - just till he gets some of his confidence back. It just so happens we need an attacking midfielder to tear up the Championship..... You pay 40% of his wages, we instantly get the best player in the Championship! Get in! We'd also send you Jack 'The hitman' Rodwell in a swap loan deal too.... :D

I'm joking of course, we'd probably stick Barkley at centre half and guy will need intense therapy to recover mentally.

In all seriousness, I really hope this Barkley situation is resolved. Lad is so talented, yet struggles with consistency. Not sure if the bridge is already burnt in terms of getting back in your team under Koeman. Stranger things have happened, if he works hard in training.

He's twice the player of Wilshere (in my opinion) and his 'created chances' stats had him at the best in the league recently. Ahead of Ozil, Hazard etc (If I remember correctly, please correct me if that's wrong).

That failed Chelsea bid on deadline day has put him in limbo.

Did he really get that much abuse?

A couple of idiots shouting turn and that's about it from what I have experienced.

It's a myth that's why, doesn't get any sort of abuse people make out, as you said the odd groan or shout when he gives the ball away or something, people make out the fans boo the whole game at him and have banners slating him etc

He was getting it all over the place....groans, moans, the ofd murmer of boo's.

Just look at every single media and social media article about him....full of blues slatting him and calling him all sorts...we have been an absolute disgrace with Ross.

To be fair we are an absolute disgrace with most of our players. Just look how quickly we write them off after a handful of games.

I don't think he gets it any worse than anyone else, and I really have not heard him getting boos.

All this started to get really bad just after Bobby joined.

Must be a horrible environment for young players.

Nothing failed about it.

We accept and he decided against it. Probably for a hefty signing on fee in January when he leaves for half the price.

We aint getting the £30m for him with 6 months left on his deal.

Try £10m.
If Chelsea were willing to pay £35m for a player that wasn't available until December then they'll be willing to pay a lot more than £10m in January. They're not really losing much playing time are they?

I'm not questioning your intelligence, but you're talking nonsense.

Chelsea won't pay £35m with 6 months left on the deal - no chance.

Cut price deal with a higher signing on fee. Or, a 'gentlemens' agreement with an even bigger signing on fee for a free in the summer.

The only thing that benefits us is the World Cup - Ross will want to make the squad and to do that he has to play football...

We'll see.
