2017/18 Ross Barkley

Wonder what happens if Koeman goes before January? Will it change Barkley's mind about wanting to leave if the manager changes or does he just want to get out no matter what. Interesting few months ahead.

You know what
If Koeman couldn't see eye to eye with Ross Barkley, and had given up on him, why coudn't he butt out of our tradition of having blues in the team, by asking Dunc, Rooney and Unsworth to motivate him?
He could have shut up on f-ing press conferences and just told those three - listen I'm the boss, I want him back to his best and to sign the contract and to play better, You three sort it out.

This injury is doing his career the world of good. I've watched enough completely listless displays from him under multiple different managers to know he's not going to suddenly turn into our version of Lampard or Gerrard. He's more like Ozil, makes hay with pretty passes when the sun is shining but then is found missing when the battle starts.

The 'Injury' might be like 'gardening leave'. if EFC are cleverer than we think, he's of to recover, work on his game, tactics etc and he comes back when either Klassen, Koeman or Rooney are sacked or binned in January

And? What's the big deal with that? I've never understood this obsession in England that players need to be able to deal with being kicked all over the gaff first and foremost. Ozil and Barkley are able to create chances other players can only dream of. Just appreciate them for that

He isn't alone in disappearing when the going gets tough look at the teams he has played in there all the same.

Unfortunately the environment at Everton in my lifetime hasn't manufactured many winners at all.

Hopefully Ronald doesn't ruin the youngsters as they look to be different.

I would add that in every team that wins things they dont always start out with all 11 being winners Ross may be able to step up in a different set up.

Like he's anywhere near Ozil's level.

I think the point is what of player he is - not the type who will go, look for the ball, and try and drive the team on.

I do think though that he was unlucky in not being in the right team at the right time or right manager to guide him. In 2013-16 he played all the time, and was given loads of confidence, but maybe not enough tactical guidance - I dont know if Denis Lawrence and that other fella no.2 of Martinez were really top quality coaches to guide him.

I think we have to take a radical approach with him

1) Retrain him as a striker

2) retrain him as a winger

We need his pacy counter attacking style that he had at his best, and to try and get him playing more often with Davies, Gana, Rooney, DCL and Lookman to make him a better player

Barkley left months ago just nobody told him yet

Anyone who thinks you’ll see Ross in a blue shirt again is even more deluded than those of you who felt sigurddson and Rooney could replace Roms goals

We miss him more than Rom.

Ross, i have always been in your camp.

You have acted in dignity and not went to the press about how useless Moonhead is. He has tried to paint you in a bad way but you have acted in class and silently protested against him.

@hktoffee you and a few others need to apologise to Ross.

#TeamRoscoe

These two statements have just won the internet.
The pictures of Cardboard Klopp and his hot-dogs yesterday weren't even this laughable
