I'll put this scenario out there.

Say if Koeman is sacked tomorrow and Unsworth installed till end of season at least, would he be able to try to convince Barkley to re-sign for us? Or is it more likely that ship has sailed already (Spurs or the like have reached an agreement to sign him in January?).

At this point, Barks is looking like an effing genius for not signing a new contract last summer.

I advocated his sale at the top of the season when the crap about not signing his contract was made public.

At this point, if he decided to ride out the rest of the season with us I'd welcome him back to the side with open arms.
