He's had one manager blowing smoke up his arse and another determined to ruin his confidence.

It'll be interesting to see how he gets on with a manager who will hopefully just treat him the same way as every other player.
 
TBH I'd hope someone, whether its Unsworth or whoever, tries playing him up top - he has all the attributes to do it and it would deal with some of his weaknesses. We could integrate him back into the side and it would solve our biggest problem area.
He’s not a centre forward if that’s what you’re thinking.

Ross doesn't have the physical presence or the top end pace like Mertens, and you need at least one to be successful. The best strikers have presence, pace and technique. He's never in a million years a striker.

Again, not saying he would be a good striker or even REMOTELY passable, but you don't think Ross has a physical presence or top pace?
 
Ex players, ex managers, journos all with bugger all to do with EFC have been pushing unsworth for the simple reason that they want more English managers to choose from for the bloody national team, myself I have no interest in that, just EVERTON.
