Completely, confused by whatever you said there.
Trim it down so I understand.
Maybe, just say "I hate Ross", that'll do really and sums up your stance on it.

Are you blind? I will say it one last time I DONT HATE ROSS... I just don't rate him that's all. The potential was there is spades. Absolute natural talent which is limited by his mentality and ability to take on intructions and make decisions. Also I don't think he applies himself as well as he could but they is just a personal opinion and cannot prove that ross could work harder (only ross knows this)

If I was, would that comment, seem as stupid as you appear to be saying Ross is?

I'm saying I have written many times that I don't hate him, but you havnt seen it.

Regarding his mentality, I'm sure he is as normal as normal can be but he doesn't have the mentality of a top player IMO. You can see it in players like lampard, Gerard, Rooney, Roy Keane , scholes ... ross doesn't have it. He needs it in order to reach the top, it's a shame because technically he is as talented as they come. Look at Cahill not the most gudted footballer technically but his mentality made him into a very good player and a big game player. Ross isn't like that and that is limiting him

Not tryin to start beef but for me Ross's problems start and end between his ears.

I don't think he is dumb (naive for sure at times), but his confidence controls his game. When he believes in himself he is borderline great. When he's lost his confidence he's just athletic and runs into cul-du-sacs.

If he hired a psychologist to help him on the mental side it would do him a world of wonders.

Stats say that Oumar Niasse is one of the best strikers in the league if you're looking at goals/minutes. It's not a stats game and Sigurdsson is rubbish.

That's my whole point... Ross's stats may have improved under bobby but he is a shadow of the player he was IMO... people use stats to defend Barkley

I think he did improve in a few areas last season actually, particularly in the second half of the season. I do agree though that he's nowhere near the superstar that some people think he is/want him to be.

Ross was all you wanted in a midfield player until Moyes started to hinder his development and undermine his confidence, beginning with his disgraceful substitution in a league game at Blackburn after just half an hour -- because he'd given away a (dubious) penalty. Prior to that he'd shone in all his game time, including his decision-making. Following it he was used as a bit part player. Moyes even declined to bring him on from the bench when games were either being clearly won or lost. I can recall a 5-1 cup win at Scunthorpe when the game was already won at the midway point of the second half. Moyes decides to make a change. Give Barkley a run perhaps? No chance -- on comes Osman! Another young sub on the bench that day was Duffy, eager to be given chances to prove his worth. He wasn't used either and we never did find out whether he was good enough.

The way Moyes used him was weird, gave him a start at 16 and he shines, great, double leg-break, just bad luck. Comes back and you think he'll get a few starts and be used as an impact sub... nope... is sent out on loan twice, the second time being particularly confusing when we were short of options in the middle and out wide. Comes back, gets started against Spurs and Arsenal away from home, having a particularly good games against Arsenal, then is sidelined again for about 4/5 dead rubber games were we knew we realistically wouldn't finish 4th. Why not give him a run out in those last few games?

I love it when people just make stuff up to try and add some credence to an argument. It would have been absolutely incredible had ross been hauled off after half an hour for giving away a penalty, because I distinctly recall that penalty being given away in the second half of the game. In reality he was probably taken off after about an hour, for Tim Cahill, one of our best players of the last 30 years, and we went on to win the game. As disgraceful subs go, that one would struggle to make the top 1000 I've seen.

I like Barkley a lot, but plenty of people still aren't 100% convinced he's the real deal now, aged 24. That people still criticise moyes for not building his team round him at 16 is truly special.

Anyone know when hes back and available to play? Unsworth said in his first presser after Koeman got sacked it would be 3 weeks, so if all well and true could he be involved this weekend?

Bolaise has went on record that a sports psychologist has helped him to become the player he is today. Would be great to see more Everton players follow suit (maybe they already are in private).
