Why wouldn't they want him. He's young and they'll get him for basically nothing because he's got 6 months left on his contract. They'd be stupid not to buy him even if it's just to sell him again for proper money. All true but the only thing is mate, what if Spurs actually like, don't want him?

That's why he's a snake.
I cannot believe that some of you really think Roscoe is this aggressive, take guys on, attacking midfielder. He's not. Most of us want him to be just that - Koeman more than anyone ironically - but he's been far from it for some time now.
Agreed, but when you have the ball 80% of the time, you better have a creative moment or two. His problem is that most of that time is 60 yards from the goal tapping it around with our 28 defensive midfielders. My hope is that he felt compelled to do that because the rest of our midfield and squad wasn't very good. He's definitely not that sort of player, however I do think we saw a maturity to his game last season as a more rounded midfielder. Better ball retention and showed a creative side that we badly lack now due to our £45m playmaker being a bit of a coward. I'm thinking his through ball for Davies against Hull to set up DCL's first goal, and cross against Leicester right on Lukaku's head from basically the touch line. He's not a player that's going to run from 20 yards inside his own half and score like against Newcastle in his first season though.

The coward is a totally different player that did a lot more than Ross with much fewer touches because he actually plays wherever the manager wants him. The coward almost singlehandedly kept his side up and ran more than anyone else in the entire league. Ross the brave cries when the fans boo, refuses to play the way the big, bad mean manager asks, and thinks he's a bloody 6 or an 8, yet couldn't tackle or mark my grandmother.
I'm hopeful a new manager and the better surrounding personnel can get the best our if Ross. He and Siggy could form the type of Eriksen / Alli partnership that could really change this team's fortunes. But if he's going to tune out the new manager, he can sit in Spurs bench for all I care.

I have to stop you there tbh mate because I haven't seen any of that.
Listen, there aren't that many people that can look objectively at what Barkley offers, he's either beyond criticism and lauded as one of the best players in the world, or utterly crap and overrated, there's no objective middle ground with a lot of our fans. I don't think for a second he gets in Spurs' strongest team because they have Eriksen and Alli, and their sub/bench options like Son and Winks will get a game before him. I am however capable of looking at the situation we're in right now and acknowledging without a shadow of a doubt, that he walks into our team ahead of spaghetti legs and makes us a better team.

You not think the reason people like me say he's over rated , is because people are (like you said) he's one of the best in the world . I know they don't actually say those words but there are countless posts saying he was one of the best in the prem and comparing him to scholes,Gerard and lampard
Yeah it probably is, but I don't think that's reason enough to just go the complete polar opposite to them and write him off as crap. Does he have crap games sometimes, yes absolutely. And I think he's far too mollycoddled and protected by some people who like to weirdly blame the fans whenever he has a bad game. But we are pretty poor right now on the pitch, and a fit Barkley sure would offer us more than Sigurdsson.
