I have said many times I don't hate Barkley I just don't rate him. Obviously he's good enough to get into other prem teams and isn't a championship player . So I agree calling him crap is probably not accurate. But he does play crap and rarely does he put in decent performances and really lacks effort... which is my main gripe with him
You just posted four abusive posts in a row, doesnt hate Barkley though this fella, yeah mate, go back to complaining about black players having awards

What the [Poor language removed] are talking about ... I agreed with posts ... and stop twisting my words ... someone said can you imagine the fall out if there was a fair skinned awards and I was agreeing saying I found it weird them having "black African awards" seeing as there are white people in Africa I said it was weird it wasn't called the African awards and not black African. So stop trying to tell me who and what I hate and stop talking crap.

And these "abusive" posts? Two of them said "agreed" and "this" one was asking a question about him being over rated and the other was a piss take yeah .. so 4 abusive posts in a row? Again your talking out of your hoop

He is inconsistent however on his day hes a great player! I'd love him to stay.

One of the few players at the club who when he gets the ball he will drive a players, he is one the players who gets you off your seat when he moves with the ball. Other players in his position or even in the team in general don't get you off your seat. Rooney and Sigurdsson don't have that effect.

LOL at that. Every award being battled out between Klaassen, Naismith and Jack Colback.

Interesting article on Sky Sports about free transfers and how they can result in a player being offered much higher wages and demand larger fees for their agents when no transfer fee is involved.

Wonder if this is what Barkley's agent has been whispering in his ear especially at the end of the latest transfer window.

Personally I would take that as a given and I also suspect fuelled by the poor relationship with the previous management.

But he's not. That's my point. He's not been that player for several years now.

I really do want to see him play with Siggy and Lookman or Vlasic. Ideally, a proper CF, too. I think he might be willing to relinquish the ball and get farther upfield - and actually move off the ball - knowing that these guys have the skill to get him the ball. He might be in better position to take guys on.

Be him holding the ball 60 yards from goal is pointless, which was Koeman's issue all along. Koeman was just an arrogant jerk that had minimal ability to get his team to adapt. And he never had the personnel last year to safely push Ross farther up the pitch IMO, so I understand why Ross felt compelled to play the way he did.

I have to stop you there tbh mate because I haven't seen any of that.

Listen, there aren't that many people that can look objectively at what Barkley offers, he's either beyond criticism and lauded as one of the best players in the world, or utterly crap and overrated, there's no objective middle ground with a lot of our fans. I don't think for a second he gets in Spurs' strongest team because they have Eriksen and Alli, and their sub/bench options like Son and Winks will get a game before him. I am however capable of looking at the situation we're in right now and acknowledging without a shadow of a doubt, that he walks into our team ahead of spaghetti legs and makes us a better team.
