2017/18 Ross Barkley

I’d be surprised if a ‘flair’ player like Barkley would fit into a team managed by allardyce. Arguably a committed Barkley should have a team built around him. But sadly I don’t think he is committed to the cause anymore and anyway allardyce wouldn’t be prepared to build a team around his talents.

Go'way ffs. If it was all about Koeman then why didn't he sign the day after he got canned?

Utter tripe that it was all about Koeman
Koeman has admitted that his public criticism of Ross was wrong (he said so himself). However I agree if he wanted to stay he should have just signed the contract. Naively maybe he was waiting for a new manager to be brought in before he was open to penning a new deal. Sadly with that new manager being allardyce I can’t see him wanting to stay.

Who says he wouldn't if they wanted him?

That errand boy made it plain how pissed off he was that Barkely didn't sign for Chelsea the moment after the window slammed shut in the summer.

He wants him out to balance books.

He's rapidly turned into Everton's Sam Hammam.

Funny how everyone translates things differently. I will wait until the Jan window closes to see if Barkley will remain our player.
I actually believe from SA's interview that he is quietly confident of having a positive effect in getting Ross to stay. It will be easier to do once the lad is playing, especially if we are winning and performing well. We are just 4-8 weeks away from finding out.

Allardyce has brought flair players in everywhere he's been. He may not be the most fashionable manager in the world, but he's most certainly not Tony Pulis.

i still think that EFC is his best bet!

Does he really think that with Hazard and Fabregas at Chelsea and Delle Ali and Erikksen (and Son) at THFC he's going to the World cup at either of those teams?

He's got to just stick it out and aim for Euros 2020 now for the England Squad. He can outplay Delle Ali next season
