Pochettino has basically said he wants english players because it'l help them with the uefa restrictions not that he actually wants Barkley because he's boss. Alarm bells to hear that from a players perspective. Basically if not english we don't want you?

They are going for CL tho ... they lose a lot of money through that if they don't qualify.. we aren't going to get that much benefit if Barkley stays... financial benefit it mean... each place is worth 1m in the league so barkley would have to propel us 10+ places to replace the fee we may get for him
 
Interesting that he's broken his silence on twitter pretty much after Koeman went.

Who knows, perhaps there's a blue still in there wanting to resolve things.
 

This squad needs Ross Barkley badly. Would love him to stay. Gets too much grief off blues IMO for what was obviously a massive clash of personalities or thinking with Koeman.
 
He must know he'll never be accepted back in Liverpool by a large majority of our fans. He's always struck me as somebody who would never settle anywhere else, mostly because I think he's not very intelligent. Come on Ross, you know it makes sense to stay.

Yes he will want to stay after reading your above statement. Well thought out
 

I would not be surprised if maybe there is still just a chance that he might stay with Sam in charge.
Allyrdyce has his faults but seems very popular with the players he has managed and Barkley will be dealing with him every day in training as he nears full fitness. Nothing can have been signed yet with any other club and I assume there is still an offer on the table.
I would not be surprised to see a few twists in this story yet.
