What - not even all the great Blues who moaned and groaned and booed every time the ball went near him?
Or the people who accuse him of screwing the club over?
You think random people saying online that Ross is screwing us over after he'd alredy made his decision to leave constitutes "hounding him out"? Ok mate.

So he occasionally (and it's wasn't anywere near as much or as close to as bad as his fanboys claim) took a little bit of greef at times during the match. All professionals take it sometimes, if that's what you consider being hounded out your gonna be in for a shock when he gets the same greef but worse for making the same mistake elsewhere.

I can offer you opinion. Mine is that there is a clear relationship between a lad who has been here 11 years with no problem whatsoever and a man management style which publicly criticises him week after for a whole season, and that stimulated a move away.

..that isn't far from my assumption actually. Under Martinez, Barkley was the centre of the Everton universe, plauded as a phenomenal talent and given little or no responsibility when the opposition had possession. A different manager wanted more from the player. It's the way it is whether we agree with it or not. Everton were going nowhere under Martinez, the new manager was brought in to manage change.

I think he invested a lot of time in trying to improve Barkley's all around game, publicly accepting the players talent but saying he needed to produce more and on a consistent basis. Barkley was no longer centre of the Everton universe, his ego is dented and he wants off.

OK - you've achieved your ambition to get rid of Ross. Move on.

He is going he is not screwing us over we let his contract run down - this year it is rumoured he has personal problems - that happens in life ok!
We offered him a new deal with a year left running on his current deal Joey and a very good deal. He's screwing us over. He doesn't even have the bottle to out a transfer request in. He's trying to make the club out as the bad guys and stay the innocent party when nothing could be further from the truth.

A babysitter? Giving out wrong messages and even lying was not a good man management.

Aiden: "I would've rather Martinez told me he's not having me. He always said 'you could be this and that'." "You'd go in Martinez's office thinking 'I'm going to say this to him' and he'd Jedi mind trick you."

WTF does that even mean?

As if, anybody had an ambition to get rid of Barkley lol

He wants to leave - he has been offered a contract - you blaming the fans is a bit pathetic IMO but each to their own.
What's pathetic is the way fans turned against him - well before the contract issue - and made his position in the team untenable.
And I will stick by my statement that some fans have had an ambition to get rid of him as I have heard at Goodison for a couple of years on and on this forum for even longer.

Your just talking BS now. I don't want him to go and never have, the only one who wants Barkley to leave is Barkley. Just as if I'd (or anyone else!) spend my time trying to get rid of Ross or care enough to do so. What a daft thing to say.lol

That's simply not true though. For some reason, loads of people want one of our best players out and have for some time.

That's up to them, if they can rationalise it then so be it.

That said, they obviously have no bearing whatsoever on Barkley's stupid decision to leave, so it's a moot point.

Yep, can't see how this can be argued with. It's just a statement of fact.

Unless I am mistaken, he was a complete disaster in the first half of last season, so he got stick, like every other player does!

When he had a turn of form from Christmas onwards, he was lauded and supported, like every other player who plays well gets!

Football fans are fickle, that is a fact. Footballers form is in and out, unless they are world class, of which he isn't.

No idea why you feel the need to make special dispensation for Ross Barkley and feel he is a victim, he gets as much and the same as every player if they underperform.
