‘Pulling the strings, playing great’ is the myth. Something he has done all too infrequently.

No agenda, other than pulling people up on their chronic overrating of the lad. Overrating which has conversely put much more pressure on him than I ever had. You expected the new Zidane, I never did.

I've already moved on. I wanted him to stay but he's evidently not. One thing I won't accept though is those people who try to make out that the entire fanbase drove him out just because a few old fellas used to moan at him from the Paddock when he gave the ball away. He got a lot of support from us especially after that horrible worm Kelvin MacKenzie did a hit piece on him in The Sun, but anyway, none of this matters now because he'll be at Chelsea next season.

he was playing great and pulling the strings when he was dropped from southgates squad at the end of last season, from that period of xmas to the end of the season, he was in the top 3 of nearly motm voting on here, thats when he was dropped, he was playing very well for us at this point, only someone with an irrational hatred and agenda would suggest otherwise, but again you've tried to drag the debate away from the subject and exposed the agenda you are driving, pretty poor stuff really

He’s had plenty of chances for England - your agenda was that he has been harshly treated - he hasn’t really.

I support Everton - not Ross Barkley. You should try it. Maybe you’ll see that he’s sold us down the river over this contract.
