This is total utter BS. He doesn't get "constant grief" from anything like the majority of supporters. Nor does he have more expectations then anyone. He occasionally gets a bit of stick from some miserable angry knobs in the paddock and elsewhere who give everyone stick. If he's that mentality fragile he will fail anywhere he goes.
Disagree as regards expectation levels. Problem is that he's been our only creative player for the last 4 years. When he plays well so do Everton and invariably we win. Isn't consistent enough as we all know, but I think that's why fans get so frustrated with him. He doesn't get booed as such but you can literally hear the groans around the ground when he's off his game. People do expect more from him than they do from the other players, and it's because he's so important to us.

One things for certain. We haven't replaced him in the summer (or Lukaku) so we shouldn't really be that surprised by our current lack of creativity.

Was watching YouTube videos on Tom Davies and gueye as well and can't believe how much better we were last season. Barley really did improve his basic game albeit with less goals and assist. Like deuloufeo we are really shooting ourselves...
Why mention Deloufeu, I miss him here. I know Ross didn't perform well at times but I think just by having him in the team, it made everything a bit more positive going forward, I'd feel a lot more confident about us winning, if Ross and Deloufeu were at least on the bench. One won't happen he's gone and the other has virtually gone too, it sort of makes me think Koemans aim was to try and take us to the style of football Sams took us too.

Very cryptic, anyone watching 'Everton are mugs' ,
damn he's good.

Is he going to be sold in the first week of the window, or January 31st? Or, it could even be the summer window when he moves on. A shame, but also very very disappointing from Ross.

If he does not sign a contract to stay with us for another 3 years then I do not see why given does not leave in January we should give game time to take him through to the summer.

If you mean don't give him any game time between now and summer (if he doesn't sign a contract or if we don't get a fee in January), then I can see that point of view. Think there'll be plenty who'd agree. Provided we don't need him during that time, I'd go along with it as we've been without him all season anyway. Roll on 2018/19 season!

That is what I meant Mate.

For him not to sign a deal and basically F us out of millions in transfer fees is the bigger issue.

However will our poor multi billionaire owner cope

If we were some bumblesquat club without much money I’d perhaps understand but we waste far more money on bad signings than we will ever lose from Barkley leaving on a free.
