the thing is would he pass a medical?
Teams will wait for him on a free surely?

Common sense for all would be for him to get game time for us, he proves his fitness, another team takes advantage and signs him, helps his WC chances and we get to defcon1 level fume cause no fee. Only ones happy are Martina, Klaasen and Ramirez who are no longer boo-targets...

Said he has major issues with the board and wants out ASAP. Apparently his team were not happy with our approach to his treatment so done part of it privately.

Personally I think he doesnt want to play infront of 40,000 Evertonians who know he is running his contract down and wants off, so he wants to leave in Jan.

Surely if he or his team thought we treated his injury poorly, he wouldn't do part of it privately, he would do it all privately, think he could afford it mate. Would just love there to be proof of this, but as always just rumours and excuses. Love him as a player, but this is just my opinion, I think Ross has treated Everton football club poorly. Has not been particularly honest, has not ever put a transfer request in and will cost his homegrown club, who made him into what he is, who supported him through two terrible injuries absolute millions of pounds. Even Rooney didn't do that .

That is what I meant Mate.
It's a bit biting our nose off to spite our face don't you think mate. We miss him. No doubt about that IMO. If the manager isn't able to get us playing a bit more of an expansive game come Feb, can he afford not to play him? The fans won't take the current brand of turgid football indefinitely. You can tell just from on here that they're already getting restless.

Due to Barkley's continued injury, I really can't see anybody taking a chance on him during the window, especially when they can get him for free in the summer. If Allardyce can turn things around then no worries. If not, I think he's pragmatic enough to know that he has to play him, if nothing else but to save his own skin.

It will be interesting how the crowd behave towards him. It's vitriolic on here at times but that doesn't usually convey itself to the live games. We were pretty lenient towards Lukaku after all. I think it will depend how he performs. If he is working hard and making a difference, which you have to believe he will be if he wants to work his way into the world cup squad, then I think the Goodison crowd will offer some degree of support for him, or at least not boo him.

What he may want and what he gets are two different things. Who do you think will be prepared to take a punt on him in January, given that he's had no playing time since May and has undergone major surgery? Especially when you can get him for free in the summer.

Plenty of teams would take a punt on him. I would buy him for 10-15m. Just a case if it's a club he wants to go to.

totally agree, i think he's been a massive coward with his silence too. As an evertonian given the chance to play for this beautiful club, i honestly can't comprehend his actions. He was given the chance to get our club a good fee, a payback for how we brought him up, but he turned it down, made a u-turn and will most likely leave on a free now, grabbing a year's worth of wages without playing, in the process.

May not be the treatment itself, the guy said 'approach' to his treatment so maybe he got a 2nd opinion or prognosis.

Bluefox on TEF said not long after his injury (when all the he's not injured conspiracies were flying about) that it was a lot worse than was made out in the media and by the looks of the scar, it appears he was right. The Spurs ITK also said thats why Levy is reluctant to buy now as they dont know if he will come back the same player and will continue to have issues with it - they wanted to see him get a run of games first.

It may all be BS but it lines up with what Bluefox said previously.

Hurts to say this, but if Ross doesn't sign even a smallish contract and he is just trying to prove his fitness to Levy, whoever, then we should never play him again. Why get him fit for Spurs benefit ?, we have lost most of his fee anyway. Besides he will be only half the player until he recovers full match fitness and would he want to push himself for the blue cause ? And risk his new career, would you ? Spurs / Chelsea Barkley maybe are screwing us enough, sod them all.

We'll see. Not sure what the club will be prepared to take for him either. Depends on how much we need the cash. I won't be surprised if he's still here come 1st Feb. Get the boos ready mate;)

I think if hes here come 1st Feb he will sign a new deal, he will not want to play at Goodison infront of 40,000 fans who know he wants off - they will turn on him pretty quick. Thats why I think he wants off now to avoid that scenario.
