we wont get a penny for him, when he comes to goodison next year we will have a good laugh about how crap he was and how much better we are with out him. he will play champions league while we will be playing in the 40 point trophy.

So this will be all the most talented players at the club have left in the time period that Moshiri has been here: Stones, Lukaku, Deulofeu, Barkley.

The man committed to retaining all our best young players.

That's a bit careless isn't it?

Spot on.

Everyone blaming Barkley when the club dragged it heels because they thought they could offload him or he wasn't good enough. We've looked a shambles without him.

Maybe he didn't fancy Chelsea? People having a go at him are wide of the mark in my opinion. The club is a joke.

So I can absolutely get that he might want a new challenge, champions league etc. Etc. Not bothered about that, good luck to you Ross. But what I simply cannot fathom from a so called boy hood blue is doing the club out of £35 million, sitting on his backside for 6 months, being paid a fortune and having Everton pick up the medical costs. That’s what I don’t think I’ll ever forgive. Saying that, I don’t think I’ll be crying over him going like when Rooney left (I was a young’un then!) a few good goals and a few decent games, but has never been anywhere near consistent enough.

Apart from Lukaku, which of those lot actually made massive contributions on the pitch whilst they were here?

No-one 'chased out' lukaku or stones, they both wanted to leave for better clubs who could win things...i suspect its a similar situation with ross
You're absolutely right Neil. I believe the fans in particular were very supportive of Lukaku, despite his numerous verbal outbursts. And initially, couldn't have been more behind Stones after his transfer request. However you can't deny the feelings by part of the crowd towards Stones did change which probably made his leaving a bit easier (in his mind) when it finally did happen.

Little bit different with Barkley. I don't believe he was ever booed as such, but as a STH for the last 4 years, I wish somebody gave me a quid for every time I heard a collective groan if he gave the ball away or held on to it too long. Or didn't see a pass that the rest of us could, or slotted one high into the stands from 30 yards. The complaints and abusive comments were clearly audible, especially on those numerous "quiet" days. Incredibly in many of those games he was probably our best player, but fuses have been always short where Ross is concerned. Probably because expectation is so high.

Anyway, todays announcement is nothing new. Apart from the deluded few, we all knew that Barkley would either be sold this window or see out his contract. I'm angry with the player for the part he has played in this, but more angry at the club for their total inability to bring in a replacement for him (and Lukaku). I just can't believe how far we've fallen from 18 months ago. We've lost our 5 best players and not properly replaced any of them. We're just an absolute joke.

What do those two have to do with Ross Barkley?

Nothing, the poster @Ebbo brought them into the equation.

He is upset because it seems Ross is leaving to further his career but he is really angry because Ross is a waste of space on the pitch.

It's like he has gone through a breakup and called the girl all sorts and she was a horrible person but in the end would take her back in a flash.

What are you talking about - he's injured?
Maybe he didn't want to sit on Chelsea's bench?

Right after the Chelsea move collapsed (and it was the club's idea to move him down there, let's not forget that) Moshiri went straight on SSNs and gave RB a verbal kicking and poisoned the water forever in terms of him signing an extension.

There has been no will to retain RB. None whatsoever. Koeman wanted him out and Moshiri gave him his blessing. It was a sale that was meant to give us a balance to spending last summer rather than the net spend we ran up overall.

How people ignore these events I dont know.

Dont ever remember him being boo’d just a lot of groans and moans when another of his passes went astray or when he lost possession

seriously? of course i'm happy he's going, have you not read my posts?
I'm annoyed because the club will recoup NO MONEY from his sale. what true fan will be happy to see him go for free so we have no money to re-invest? jesus, I give up with some people.
Seriously?. No I can't honestly say I have read your posts.

My point is, if he is such a waste of space on the pitch why would you expect us to get any money for him?. And why would you be so bothered by him leaving?, which you clearly appear to be from your previous post. Your words, not mine.
