2017/18 Ross Barkley

Stones, Del, Lukaku, Barkley, I pinned my hopes on those 4 leading us to glory whilst playing beautiful football. If we'd matched their ambition we could have held onto them, instead we spent stupid money on average players and will probably continue to do so in an attempt to replace what were genuinely world class young players that could have been here for years to come (with possibly the exception of the inconsistent Del).

It's ok guys, don't panic we've got Ashley Williams lined up to replace John Stones.

No no like we said before guys, no panic needed cos we've got an untried youngster from Sheff Utd to replace Lukaku.

Panic you say? pffft We've got all the creativity we need to replace Barkley in our £45m Icelandic god

*Sigh*

Just shut up Everton and don't patronise us whilst you spunk £27m on a nobody from Turkey as some kind of sweetener for flogging our best talent in years.

Right after the Chelsea move collapsed (and it was the club's idea to move him down there, let's not forget that) Moshiri went straight on SSNs and gave RB a verbal kicking and poisoned the water forever in terms of him signing an extension.

There has been no will to retain RB. None whatsoever. Koeman wanted him out and Moshiri gave him his blessing. It was a sale that was meant to give us a balance to spending last summer rather than the net spend we ran up overall.

How people ignore these events I dont know.

Ross has said nothing, acted with dignity while Koeman slated him in public.

So this will be all the most talented players at the club have left in the time period that Moshiri has been here: Stones, Lukaku, Deulofeu, Barkley.

The man committed to retaining all our best young players.

That's a bit careless isn't it?

It’s an utter joke, squad gone from that to a load of crap needing a complete overhaul despite millions being spent.

Spot on.

Everyone blaming Barkley when the club dragged it heels because they thought they could offload him or he wasn't good enough. We've looked a shambles without him.

Maybe he didn't fancy Chelsea? People having a go at him are wide of the mark in my opinion. The club is a joke.
Can you explain what you're basing the bit I've bolded on?

What has given you this impression.

Exactly. Not uttered one word that's been inflammatory...which has irritated his army of detractors no end, hence their reaching for daft phrases like "rat".

I know who the real rat is in this football club and it isn't a footballer.

That carpet bagger must be pissing himself laughing at some fans lashing out at players when his two year reign of chaos is to blame.

Think Allardyce has made it perfectly clear today everybody knew that wasn't going to happen no matter what.

No instead he is let the fans sit there and stress over whether they're losing one of their club's best players while also simultaneously holding out hope he would sign a contract which he reportedly has never even considered.

Why does he hate us so much?

Because SOME of us won't just love him unconditionally, least not anymore. We actually wanted to see some consistent match-winning performances and for him to buckle down.

He's a mentally-weak and not very intelligent person. I don't say that to sound bullying, it's just observation after watching him these past few years. He's clearly not the sharpest knife in the draw, you can see that in his body language on the pitch and how slow his mind seems to work in fast passages of play. The complete opposite of a prime Rooney.

He's a spoiled kid who is used to being treated like royalty and all the things that come with it (e.g. going with other fella's girlfriends and bragging about it). He didn't like being told that the level he's become comfortable at wasn't good enough and he needs to shape up.

Get out then lad, go to London and enjoy the nightlife and the adulation down there, it won't last long. No other club in the country would show him the patience we did for so long, he'll be binned off and at Crystal Palace or West Ham in 3 years, mark my words.

£200M of club cash he's overseen go out the door. Now we look like Villa before they were relegated.

That's a seriously impressive act of sabotage.

While some of this is definitely true, it could be said also for 98% of our entire squad.

Player power. They hold all the cards nowadays and none hang around waiting for a squad to be built around them. These players have left for City, Utd and Barca and are we are years behind them. Don't care what anyone says we are a stepping stone of a club and always will be unless we get a City/Chelsea injection of money. Mosh has more money than Bill but nowhere near enough to make a dent.

What saw Lukaku out the door was that first summer of non investment by Moshiri.
