I don't think anyone actively wanted him to go?

Might be some people now saying fair enough, go. But that's because he wants to leave? If he turned round tomorrow and signed up we would all get behind him!

It's disappointing because it highlights the stifling of progress that we shouldn't be dealing with anymore and yet another player who wants to leave to progress rather than doing it here. It's worse because Ross is one of us and even he couldn't stick around to captain us to a trophy or to consolidate top 6 (4?)
Nope. I don't care for the drama.

go and play for Chelsea or spurs, Ross. Go on

I don't think anyone is denying he handled this horribly. He deserves flak for failing to address the situation. At this point though, there is really nothing left to say.
Your correct he has left it to late, he could have explained himself after the last window. Like I said When he goes (which is likely his will) we will get a quick thanks from him when at his new club, I can't see many fans wishing him well though.

Remember that video of him on the verge of tears when we booed the team off at halftime at Wembley? We'll have him in floods of tears when he next comes to Goodison and the booing is actually aimed at him.

I know it's been done , to death but.

The way our fans are recently, with the hysterical booing and heckling of players. I wouldn't want to play at Goodison. Genuinely.

I hate him for it because I'm supposed to but if I had the choice of being boo'ed every week by Everton fans for £100k a week or playing in London for £150k a week I would choose the latter.

I don't have a problem with that. What baffles me is that people pretend he had no reason to leave. This club has been a horror show since Martinez's second season.

Exactly. That 72 points was the worst thing that has ever happened to our fan base.

I know Ross should be his own man, but he has always seemed to come across as naive, I blame 2 people for him wanting out Koeman for public ally slating him and Lukaku's ( I have always though he had a word in Ross's ear) I may well be wrong. But the first is mostly to blame, I'm sure if Koeman hadn't have been manager Ross would have signed. Koeman was such a bad egg for us.

Yes of course mate Spurs fans are so understanding and reasonable, dream on by the way haha.
Spurs fans / No other fans are hysterical like we are.

It was actually completely embarrassing against Man United , the reaction to the first misplaced pass of the game after 6 minutes. if I were Wayne Rooney I would have just booted the ball as hard as I could into the stands and retired.

I am little bitter mate and gutted one of our own has turned his back on us. Doesn't seem to bother you though does it, you sound quite satisfied and that's a pity to.
I've just learned to accept it. It's a shame he is leaving, and I'm not as fond of him as I once was, but I'm a bit bothered by the lack of class of some of the fans in general. FWIW Barkley is just as responsible as the club/fans for this fiasco.

The likelihood he will drift away like Gosling,Jeffers,Roswell just to name a few. It would surprise me if he became very injury prone also after he's lastest injury. Anyway if he goes that Wong be our worry anymore.
