That part of it makes total sense I agree, but even a club like Chelsea wouldn't let the player take the backlash on that. They'd simply announce it. Barkley was the one who said he'd pulled out, and then faced the backlash from the media, the club and the fans. Why would he do that of it was Chelsea's decision, and why would Chelsea allow him to?. Makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. If he was holding out for spurs then I agree he has cost us but that’s a big if and I think it’s more likely Chelsea saw the extent of the injury and decided to wait until January when they could get him cheaper.
It isn't though. I'm fuming at both. It's always the player, never the club.
Evertonians still being done by snake charmers at L4.
Twas ever thus.
For me getting 6 points against wba and Bournemouth or getting past liverpool tonight. Is worth more then 15 million to this club.
Just in time for him to pop another shot of him watching the match on a stream for all his new Chelsea supporter followers on Instagram.Alan Myers

Ross Barkley underwent a medical at Chelsea’s training ground in Cobham last night and his move to the Premier League champions could be confirmed later today understand the player and his representatives are at Stamford Bridge at present, finalising a deal.
He is absolute SH this lad.

I’m not sure the clubs accountants feel the same. Personally Im not arsed in the slightest about £15m, I’d have preferred we keep him and just play him for remainder of season and let him go on a free in the summer. He’d have had to perform as its World Cup year.
Be much better if there was just total silence with an air of menace.Never one for booing former players. But I'd make an exception here
Well, he acted the same way when we signed Kante, and he was our primary target for his position, thats just the way he behaves on interviewsConte doesn't seem that bothered hahahahaha
Bore off you manc tedCan't blame Ross - he is ambitious, unlike Everton FC.
