It’s unsettling how angry people get over it all. I think they’re just fuming that there’s Everton fans out there that can occasionally enjoy football and want to keep them submerged in the swamp along with them.

I think some people are just naturally contrarians, and there are people (see our lovely neighbours) who like to make it all about them and how they hate England cause they are too uber scouse.

I would take an horrible Everton win over Wolves on Boxing Day over a WC win all day every day, but they’re mutually exclusive so it would be nice to see England (and two Everton players) win something for once.
